  1. I gots two home courses. One I play while I'm at school: http://www.golfcourse.uga.edu (phenomenal course) and one while I'm not at school: http://canongategolf.com/index.cfm?menu=5513
  2. Dude, I know! That is one weird looking swing. But then again, so is Jim Furyk's.
  3. Forget the long-drive controversey.... that story is just too weird to finish reading. I need a shower. "She's a MAN, Baby..."
  4. I always enjoy a stogie during a round of golf. In fact, if I don't smoke one during the course of my round, I don't play as well
  5. Use a bright red ball, ala Rodney Dangerfield
  6. Actually, Santa was pops, and he took me down to the PGA store and got me set up with a brand new set of Nike sumo irons. First new set of clubs I've ever had (old set were 15-20 year old cobras), and I'm stoked. I swear I'm going to play golf in the morning, and I don't care if it is going to be 25 degrees. I was loving the way I was hitting them at the simulator range in the store, I just can't wait to get out and try them out. Sorry if this is a "who cares" for everyone else here, but I just had to get that out.
  7. Rare accomplishment? Consistent mistakes like that are the reason I'm a 23 handicapper!
  8. For me this week, well, considering I'm not all that good yet, Par 3, 190 yards to front edge of the green with a bunker that wraps around the front left side, pin on the back right side of the green, about 40 feet back. Hit a 3 iron off the tee, really hit it solid, started a bit left but faded just a tad to the right, hit the front of the green and rolled up to about 20 feet from the pin. The green isn't very wide, only about 25 feet, and I always seem to miss it right or left, or leave it short, so I was pretty happy with it this time.
  9. Played 36 holes today, shot 101 on the first 18 and was frustrated because I just felt like early in the round I wasn't doing anything right but towards the 2nd half of the back 9 I was doing everything right, so I played another 18 and hit 102.
  10. I agree, and I really wanted Hugo and Camilla to win. They were the best couple by far through the majority of the competition, they just made a couple of mistakes right at the very end. I don't think either Haymes or Bernie has much of a future on the pro tours, while I think Huge definitely does, and the LPGA could use a face like Camilla's (and by that I mean, an extremely attractive younger female who would draw some attention). Yeah, some may say that isn't important, but look what Anna Kournikova did for Tennis. Besides, I think Camilla played with a lot more skill than Bernie did for nearly the whole thing. Like some have said, it was just youth that caused her to make those mistakes at the end. Bernie has had a chance on the LPGA before, Camilla really deserves one, IMHO.
  11. Coming from a guy who has gone scuba diving in 40* water (diving wet, mind you), absolutely. Besides, a lot less traffic on the course when its cold out.
  12. smmmmmmmmmmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaackkkk!!!! Seriously, maybe dude is just bitter that a girl he would gladly get in the sack with could whip his tail around the links.
  13. You know honestly, at 62 years old, 75 lbs is a lot of extra weight to carry around. A few others have hinted at it, but you should really look into dieting and trying to lose some weight, because eventually with that much extra weight, being exhausted after 18 holes of golf will be the least of your concerns. And I say that genuinely for your benefit, not to sound arrogant or condemning. I myself have been very overweight before, and losing some weight will make you feel better throughout the entire day.
  14. Broke 100 for the first time a week ago, though I haven't really put my time into Golf before, but now I'm really feeling the need to get better at it, and playing more, so with that in mind, in 2009 I'd like to: Break 85. I really think that is attainable... when I play, I know I am a few dumb mistakes away from taking 10 strokes off my game. Putting - I am naturally good at putting, for some reason. I usually read greens impeccably, and have very good touch. However, I probably add 6-7 strokes a round on putts that I miss by 3 inches or less. Chipping - I've made so many dumb mistakes when making short chip or pitch shots that it makes me sick. Really dumb stuff, like just hitting the ball off the toe of the club and sending it off to the right, or hitting the ground before the ball and leaving the ball short of the green. Eliminating my fade/slice on my irons. Learn how to hit my dang hybrid. That thing gives me fits. I don't think I'm expecting much.
  15. They had been pretty mentally tough throughout most of this thing.... then it seems they just kind of broke down and let frustration and emotion get to them.
