I hit my irons pretty straight. They are old Hogan Apex Edge forged irons. However, I hit my driver and fairway woods with a huge hook somehow. I have been using an Adams ST driver (10.5 degree loft, R flex) for the last two years. I can hit it between 260-290 yards consistently. I just can’t seem to hit many drivers straight except this one, but on miss hits the steel tip on the driver just kills my distance. I have to have regular flex too even though my swing speed is 105 MPH. With a stiff flex I can’t seem to get any air under the ball and can’t shape my drives. I have been using a Ping i15 5 wood for the last few months because supposedly it is fade biased, but I hook that thing terribly too. Same with the i15 hybrid (20 degree loft)
So my question is what driver/fairway wood/hybrid would be best for me since I hook my woods so much? I seem to hit the Adams driver with less hook, maybe because the face is square. I’m not sure if the face being square is just a mental thing for me, but it works with the Adams.
