  1. Sergio Garcia!
  2. Does it make sense that these were a gold medal winner on Golf Digest's hot list in 2007, but a silver medal winner in 2008?
  3. Anyone else out there playing the S58's???
  4. Your a beginner. Everything about your swing is bound to be a little inconsistent now and then. Even my swing is inconsistent every once in a while. Thats golf. Keep taking lessons and dont forget to work on your short game. You will get there.
  5. I have had the same problem this year. My Uncle said that I was moving forward as I started my downswing. When I was at the top, I was trying to drive through the ball and the result was me swaying slightly forward and that made me push the ball. I work on staying still through impact and everything seems to be back on line.
  6. I talked to someone at Ping and they said that they are not planning any new releases (S57) this year in the States.
  7. Thanks Eric. I was confused on the TP Red and Black. I have heard different things from many different people.
  8. That would be great if you could find out. Thanks ...I think the S57 is only being released in Japan...
  9. Anyone playing these? Opinions?
  10. TP Red is more like the Pro V1x. It spins less than the Black. From the website: TP Black » Advanced cast Thermoset Urethane cover promotes higher spin off the short-irons and around the green while also delivering supreme shear-resistance
  11. I have tried all of these. I was just wanting other people's opinions
  12. I need everyone's help. I have been playing the Pro V1x as long as its been out, but recently I have experimented with the B330 and the TP Red. I dont see a lot of differences between the three, but wanted your opinions on which ball you like and why. Distance, feel, spin (around the green and off the driver) should all be addressed. Thanks
  13. 1. 27 2. 15 3. 2
  14. The Burner already has a 1* closed face, so that should be good for you. I naturally hit a big draw with my driver, so I went with the TP Burner which has a 1* open face. You would be sorry in a year or less if you bought the draw Burner IMO.
  15. Really? I believe Bubba Watson, one of the longest drivers on the PGA Tour, uses a Grafalloy Bi-Matrix shaft in his driver. Your comments are completely biased and not true. I used to have a Grafalloy Pro Launch shaft in my old driver and it was great. (Swing Speed 108) I am also about to put the Pro Launch Red in a new Ping G10 that I am getting soon.
  16. I see flagsticks positioned 10 ft from the fringe all the time. The usual setup for flags at my course is 6 hard, 6 moderate, 6 easy. Some holes you can fire at and some you need to think about. That's golf. If they were all set up in the middle of the green or away from trouble areas, (sandtraps, greenside lakes, slopes) that would be boring.
  17. Exactly. Well said.
  18. I agree. I cant notice any other significant difference between the two other than the Pro V1 spins a lot more hitting into the greens than the Pro V1X. At least for me it does.
  19. I can work the ball pretty consistantly. Actually, I know a lot of single digit handicappers who can work the ball "at will". I think you have made a blanket statement that obviously does not apply to everyone. I naturally hit a draw, but when I need to hit a fade I concentrate on finishing with my hands high. That swing thought has always helped me hit a fade when needed.
  20. I will be there Tuesday and Wednesday
  21. I would suggest not opening the clubface on your sandwedge or using a lower lofted club, like a gap wedge, so the ball comes out flatter.
  22. Anyone else have some comparisons??
  23. They have been out for at least a couple of weeks. I saw them in a local golf store and was just as amazed as everyone else seems to be. They look great at setup. I am going to hit them at my club's demo day later this month, but they will be hard pressed to beat out my mizunos.
  24. I believe your handicap is supposed to be around 80% of your average score. So if you shoot 82 (10 over) on average, then you would carry about and 8 handicap. Correct me if i'm wrong, I just swear I remember hearing that before. Hope that helps you guys out, or at least helps your bruised egos... Ha
  25. This is over the last 18 rounds on the 2 courses at my club. % Fairways Hit: 72% GIR %: 67% Succsessful Save %: 51% Succsessful Sand Save %: 48% Avg Putts: 1.72 Par 3 Avg: 3.25 Par 4 Avg: 4.23 Par 5 Avg: 4.91 Avg. Score: 75.56
