  2. how many yards left is this "draw"? If your draw is small I would play for it. I'm not trying to be an ******* but some people think a 15 yard swing is still a draw, and if you want to get rid of it I feel like it's a big move in the air. For me if my ball starts on target and ends more left than I wanted it means I closed the clubface too early, causing a bit too much spin and right to left movement.
  3. I agree with MDL this is your opinion, not fact. I too use a 60 degree wedge and I rarely mis-hit it and use it often. I am not a great player or an instructor, and I have also heard that they are hard to hit. For me that is NOT the case
  4. What really cured my slice a few years ago is what some others have said already......hit the inside of the ball. I also would encourage you to video tape your swing....I did not think it was coming over the top until I saw a video. It's the only way you can be sure. In the video you can trace your club path.
  5. Exactly, thank you..... All I was trying to get accross is that there are certainties in the club face and club path. How they get to these positions may be a mystery, but the position is what it is to create the flight of the ball. Chris
  6. You absolutely can say where the swing is going. It is in to out with an open club face....those are the ball-flight laws.
  7. Yea definitely lol!, but I only know of 1 course near me that is that short
  8. I think you need to be much more descriptive to get any help. What is the ball flight you're getting? and what is the ball flight you're looking for?
  9. My question to you is regarding distance: What distance are you missing in your bag? If you driver goes 250 (example) what is the distance of the 3 hybrid? You may not be missing anything, but my guess is a 3 wood.
  10. I would also concentrate on BALL FIRST contact and hittig down on the ball. If you really hit down on the ball it will make a divot.
  11. Yea, what the others said it right its not about knowing how far away the hole is...It's about know how far you hit each club. As far as the wind goes take the first few holes to really pay attention to the ball flight and the direction of the wind. Range, range, range to find your distances, in my experience don't pay attention to what others are playing just have to know your own distance.
  12. Thanks guys, I guess these were about the answers I was expecting. I'd like to make it a point to be confident with longer irons, but at the same time I still have plenty of room for improvement from 7iron and up!
  13. I think I feel exactly the same way, but I'm just a little unsure
  14. Hey guys I am starting to hit the ball further and further off the tee (about 300), I still need a ton of work with shorter irons and putting. I am just wondering from a learning and not scoring standpoint when should I play consistently from the furthest tee's. I am seeing an instructor about once a week and he is definitely helping me improve my game in all area's but this new distance is a bit new to me. I have played the tips on occasion when playing with low scoring playing partners and it's do-able but of course makes for new challenges. When did you switch? When should I? Thanks Chris
  15. So Ian bought a *white* burner 3 wood. May not be that big of a deal to most but he put in his 10 most annoying things when guys play trendy clubs to match their outfit or whatever, I think it's pretty hypocritical. Yesterday he also wore a white hat, white shorts(see through), purple underwear, white gloves, white shoes, white belt. Cried for relief anytime there was mud because he did not want to get his white clothes or club dirty, but he hit the ball ok. Does anyone else think he is a bit hypocritical? I quoted his list below! lol! Top Ten List of Things That Annoy Me On The Course 1. Women that are not Yani Tseng or Paula Creamer and are playing in front of me. Yani is acceptable due to speed of play and Paula because if I have to wait, I dont mind watching her for 18 holes from the backside. 2. Guys that come out on the golf course for their 4th round of the year with matching shoes, sunglasses, hat, shirt, belt and most likely underwear. Believe it or not, this does not lower your score. 3. When number 3 is done with the color white, it usually also includes the new white R11 driver. When someone has this much time to coordinate, this single round out for the year is too important to them and they are what we call "Catalog Golfers". They look like they stepped out of a JCPenny catalog. The new R11's are nice clubs, but dont match your outfit to them. IRONY!
  16. I would work your glamour muscles as hard as you can, that way you can look strong and people will think you hit the ball far.
  17. I implemented a 10 finger grip, it feels more natural for me. I can hit any type of shot that I could with interlocking and have the same if not better distance. I think its all a matter or preference so long as you are still doing certain things like making the "v" with your thumb and index finger.
  18. I was thinking the same thing, I would get to a practice green immediately! don't leave
  19. We're all so sorry to hear about the injury to your vagina. No one is going to baby you through the injury, get some tape and let's go.
  20. Dude this doesn't count.....you still had effects of a BEAR FIGHT/ Moonshine still in your system. So I really wouldn't count it.
  21. Indian Spring in Marlton, which is close to Moorestown is a very nice country club. There are more in the cherry hill, Vorhees area. Not sure if you were looking to stay close to work or home, but any in those area's are very nice but pricey! Chris
  22. The ones at our home course are good. No complaints But they do exist, and they must be stopped
  23. 1. Taking more shots than double par for weekend warriors. 2. Playing championship tee's and you drive 100 yards. 3. Having a terribly long and exhausting pre shot routine. 4. Screaming fore! For no reason 5. Waiting before shot because "if I hit that one good one it might hit those guys in front of us". Hey dude if you hit the best shot of your life it's not coming within 50 yards of those people. 6. People arguing over how many strokes they shot on the hole. If you get to the hole and can't remember howany strokes it took you to get there. "no I took an 8" two out of the woods 3 out of the sand and 2 putts. Just put that hole out of your mind, it's not going to save your score, lol. 7. Making excuses about your game other than lack of practice. Weather, bad clubs, cheap balls, etc. 8. Everyone that says "but I hit them so good on the range, damn!!" 9. Vanity handicappers that tell the group their handicap for no reason so we can all be impressed that their handicap is a 4 but today they just happen to have an off day at 97. 10. People that refuse to let groups play through. 5.5 hour rounds, and ugly cart girls
