  1. unny this thread is still going on since July when I originally posted it.. I was in the sim at golf galaxy again yesterday- hit the crap out of a ping driver, showing 250 yards with a slight draw almost every time- bough tthe driver - couldnt get past 200 on the course... Them last week I bought a cobra 3 wood, it wsa used - but I was smoking it straight as an arrow in the sim - brought it the range- lets say it wasnt teh same results...
  2. i did some more testing with the igolf - it is awesome. yesterday on a par 3 i had the unit o nmy belt clip - i was standing in the center of the green and it showed 1 yard... thats pretty good. I have been loving this thing. i created a new couese in my backyard. and mapped out 30, 50, 60 yard areas to practice my short game. im liking it...

  4. I bought the igolf and tried it out yesterday for the first time at bethpage. I was impressed with the accuracy. I was more surprised at how accurate the sprinkler heads were at bethpage... standing next to a sprinkler head showed only a 1-2 yeard difference from the gps.... Now i need to find a nice case for it....
  5. is the face really big on the cobra?
  6. I have the MX-23 and though they are forgiving they are not that forgiving. The cobra FP in my opinion are way more forgiving. I hit the cobras at a demo day for a good hour and I was really close to buying them. But i got a really good deal on my mizunos. Before I had the mizunos I had a set of cleveland launcher LP. I could hit the crap out of every iron in the bag, now with the mizunos im replaing things with hybrids and its a pain. I may still go with the cobras because the price is awesome. But im also looking at Pings.. BUt thats another story... All in all you need to hit them and see what you like better. I personally think the cobras are more forgiving, but the mizunos have an amzing feel to them on a good clean shot, but if you hit them bad, a nasty stings comes through the shaft.... Good luck!
  7. thats what i said in my last post.
  8. im betting that the g5 will be dropping in price once the g10 is released.....
  9. Scale of 1-10 od say an 8..
  10. 2006 Dodge Charger R/T 5.7L Hemi 2005 Chevy Trailblazer
  11. the ones im looking at are from a local store - they are in pretty good shape, steel shaft.
  12. I was looking at a set of used Ping g2 - 3-pw - they are $429- is that too much? seemed a little high.... ANy opinions?
  13. i have been keeping track of all my drives since i got my new driver- drives have been between 240-270.. HUGE improvement compare to my last driver where I was struggling to the 200 yard marker..... getting fitted was the best thing i could of done...
  14. thats exactly what i want to do - what courses do yo uguy at twilight???
  15. the only bad thing i can say about the blackberry - is it feels like your talking on a calculator while on the phone.....
  16. should get the job done for you - I have the 8700 and i lov eit.. but its a bit pricey -
  17. the stylus is a pain in the arse....
  18. I had a blackberry for years, then went with a palm treo for a while, ended up going backt o the blackberry. It handled my email accounts so much better.. and synchronized with my email server better. I do know some people who love the treo though.
  19. i played last night over at bethpage - didnt really hit thtat many fat shots - i was actially hitting pretty well...It smy putting that killed me, im going to go to betpage again tonight, i will see how it goes.
  20. I hit them in a simulator and liked them a lot - but i like my taylormade better... good luck
  21. forgot to add.... i have a swing speed of aroun 85-90 and i was given a reg flex on a demo day - but you really need to see what feels better to you -
  22. i hit both.. the s9 felt very chunky, but they were extermely forgiving and very easy to get in the air.. they were just very big... i dont know if im crazy about the wide soles on them.... The FPs were awesome and for the price you can not beat them.. if my mizunos were stolen today - i would probably go buy these... they were forgiving, had a good feel, and i was able to smoke the crap out of the ball with it... I odnt think yuo can go wrong iwth either club... good luck!!
  23. thats why i poste dthis thread - check out the srixon.... very nice ball
  24. I have the Mizuno mx-23 - which are the model before the 25s. I hit the 25s recently and they dont fell much differemnt than my 23.... im sure there is some type of difference - but im not good enough to tell.. i really like the mx-23 - when you hit them good, they are awesome, if you throw a bad swing on them, you wont be very happy.. but they feel so good on a good swing you will always want to hit them.... I also hit the callaway x-20 and the cobra fp, i love dthe cobras, and came close to buying them, they are a touch more forgiving then the mizunos, but still lack the feel.... but they are aweome. The x-20 were another really good iron. I felt like i couldnt hit a bad shit with them.. but they were a little pricey for me...I picked up my mx-23 for under 300 used... but they looked brand new.... havent hit the titleist - i heard they are not as forgiving - but you should just try everything out.... probably wont be disappointed with e mizunos though...
