Also looks like you hang on your back foot a little bit too much.

Overlapping, and probably the weakest grip of anyone here on the forum, because when things start to go bad for me I tend to hook the ball, this takes it out of the equation for me for the most part.

19* goes between 225-230, on a great day a few yards farther but that is my average.

Very nice for someone your age. I'll agree with what everyone else says, your coming over the top. My way for you to fix this is start your swing with your lower body, not with your hands. When you get to the top of the swing, fire your hips open facing the target and the hands will follow. Your on your way buddy keep it up!!

Ping Pong, no doubt.

Let me know when you guys go out my schedule is pretty flexible, during the week is best for me. FWIW I would have voted Pelham/Split Rock during the week. Both are nice courses.

My friend has an IPhone and he says it does everything but make phone calls. -
I can only take foursomes for the event right now because everyone puts in a foursome, I would'nt have anyone to pair you up with. If I get two players I will keep you informed or if you get two more guys let me know and I can hold room for you.

No way 5-10 per round, maybe 1 or 2 max, if any, per round.

Hey guys, Im running a golf outing for the North Castle Police Benevolent Association and its held at the Canyon Club in Armonk. Thanks.

New Pete Dye Course : Pound Ridge Golf Club

$235.00...Figures living in Westchester County. BS -
Using ESC is not cheating, its part of the rules. You post and dont use ESC, then your breaking the rules. You will have to talk to which course your a member at to edit your scores. The person who runs GHIN at that course will be able to edit your scores but i dont believe you'll be able to see the changes until your next revision.

You'd have to find out what the course rating and slope rating would be for Open conditions first before being able to answer that.

Okay forget about the betting thing then, my guess is 109.

Guys, lets guess the score of the amateur playing at Torrey Pines. We should do a pool where everyone puts in, say 5 dollars. Whoever nails it on the head wins all the money. The guy is an 8 Handicap. What are your guys thoughts on this? It definitely could work. Losers would paypal the winner 5 dollars.

No chance in hell. I entered the contest, made it to the second round and to be completely honest with you, even though I wanted to tell myself that I could do it and would give it my best effort, Im a realist and know that I wouldn't break 100. I can hit drives 300 yards, I have a real good short game, but conditions are way too tough, rough is way too long, greens are lightning. The guy who wins the contest will not break 100.

My mental game is killing me!!! Help me please
Finn07 replied to Prodigy's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
Do yourself a favor and go and buy the book "Golf is Not a Game of Perfect" by Dr. Bob Rotella, its all about the mental part of the game and is an amazing book. -
I am building a set of G40's from Golfsmith using TT Lite XL Shafts. I hear so much about swingweight and do not have a swingweight scale at home. My question is how accurate do you guys think that the swingweight calculators are online. There are about three that I have been toying with. www.myostrichgolf.com looks like the one that I am going to be going with. Thanks in advance.

What is a great book for beginner clubmakers? Its becoming a hobby of mine and would like to start reading up on it. I can put together clubs with out a problem, but swingweighting, loft and lie checks and stuff like that I dont know how to do. What is a reference that can teach?

GPS vs Laser Rangefinder
Finn07 replied to greenail's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I would go with GPS. Ive never had a rangefinder, nor used one but I definitely know that I wouldnt want to point and stare through a scope to get yardage. Thats my preference. -
Ive played it three times in my life, never broke 90 there (92, 92, 93), played from the tips every time. Its an experience, I can tell you that....The course kicks my ass. I love it though.

For those of you thinking of getting a GPS Device for the course, here is my review on the Caddie II that I just purchased. Out of the box: The Caddie II comes with the unit itself, a USB Cable, and a CD to load the program into your computer so that you can start to download courses. It also comes with an instruction manual and a quick start guide. Software: Software was very easy to use and im not a big software guy or computer guy and I figured it out without a problem. Basically I just loaded the CD into the computer and followed the on screen prompts. When you want to transfer courses onto your GPS unit you have to power on your GPS and put it into "Sync" mode and that will allow you to do the transfer. The Caddie II: The unit itself is about the palm size of my hand, maybe a little bigger. It is very easy to read on the course and will give you yardages to the front, center and back of the green, also has a "Shot" feature, which if you hit the button on the tee box and then get to your drive it will tell you how far your drive went. I havent used this feature because I dont want to feel like im trying to kill the ball on the tee box. It also has the ability to have 8 custom points per hole, some of which you have to map yourself. The buttons are very easy to use and the screen is very easy to see on the course. The backlight stays on for about a minute after you touch one of the buttons. The belt-clip is terrible, and I have'nt seen a better alternative yet, you definitely cannot clip it to your belt because its a pain in the ass after you look at your yardage to get it back on there. I clip it onto my walking cart and that works just fine, I never have to look back to see if it fell off. Of the courses that I have downloaded on mine, the most that the download will give me is 4 per hole, but you can put another 4 custom points in yourself. Mapping a GPS point looks very easy, but I havent done it yet so I cant tell you how it would work. Downloading courses is fairly quick, it takes about 2 minutes for each course to download, so if your doing about ten at a time youll need to leave it for about 20 minutes. Performance: I have nothing bad to say about the performance. I can't compare it to other units because I've never used them, but this thing updates very fast, as soon as I get to my ball it has all the yardages mapped out and I have'nt seen it to be off yet, and Ive played three rounds with it. Yardages are right on the money. Also, I hear that alkaline batteries are better then rechargeables so that is what I use, and after three rounds of golf with the same batteries, they still have 20% of life left according to my GPS unit. Summary: I paid 165.00 for this and it was well worth it, I also paid a 34.99 subscription which allowed me to download 100 courses for the year if I wanted to, Ive downloaded about 20 courses so far. A great thing about igolf is that when you download the courses you can save them on your harddrive and they are yours forever, you dont have to subscribe again next year and your unit will keep working forever. One more thing, if igolf does not have a course in their database they will map only one for you on request. The next one you have to pay for (12.99). I did'nt realize this and emailed them about it and they gave me another course that I play for free. Customer service is extremely accomodating and fast to get back to you through email. I dont know if I missed anything but hope this helps. I really love my GPS and I walk alot when I play so this thing is great for me. Any questions feel free to ask.

TaylorMade RAC wedge no warranty stamp - is it OK?
Finn07 replied to TheSnapHooker's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
My putter and 3 wood are stamped "no warranty", they are authentic and you have nothing to worry about. Just like someone said above they could be overruns.
