  1. Great video, I have never really grasp the difference between a chip and pitch until now. I think an easy way for me to pitch would be to visualize doing a floating hinge... Does that make sense?
  2. Hey man, I have many post on this so it will sound like a broken record to many. Hinge and Hold on any shot inside 80 yards, that's all I do. Heck, I can hinge and a hold a flop shot! HINGE AND HOLD AND FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING HOLY... KEEP YOUR WEIGHT FORWARD!!!
  3. Imagine if you were on a skateboard right now, you look as though your upper body is tilting away from the target and the majority of your weight is back causing you to ride a wheelie and keeps your head way behind the ball. I use a skateboard as a practice drill, with a foot on each side I take my address and I'm ready when I have the rear wheels of the skateboard slightly off the ground and I have my upper body tilted towards the target which results in the ball being on the same line as my ear at address... Hey man, this could be all wrong. But this is what works for me and I', getting crazy long and consistent.
  4. I can't find any coverage at all on the Internet... Phil or Tiger will come away victorious!
  5. My Feeling... I played 9 this morning and and was committed to my S&T; swing... I ended up 3 under and hit all fairways and greens in regulation. I never really understood the TILT part until today. I have the feeling of getting my weight forward at address, well obviously my entire weight can't stay forward the entire time, but I kept that feeling in my head. Well, today i just had the feeling of tilting down towards the ball and my downswing felt like I was literally coming over the top and straight down on the ball. I realize that I have been so laid off at the top that chances are good that I am right on plane now. Anyway, the results speak for themselves, nice consistent divots everytime. My driver is out of this world consistent, it's so consistent that I am incorporating the distance piece of jumping on the downswing. Are there anymore distance pieces that can be incorporated into the S&T;?
  6. Does anyone know if there is live streaming coverage of Bridgestone?
  7. This thread seems to have been started to get a certain hat mention out there... We all promote logo's, but I think there is a big difference in wearing a titleist hat and walking around with a banner that mentions all the titleist line of golf balls. And sure some mention what clubs they play in their signature, but if you look real close you will see a trademark logo by the big fancy bold words. There is absolutely no difference in wearing a titleist hat and filling up your signature with logos... You can put what clubs you play without all the unnecessary flair.
  8. I guess it has never really bothered me, I guess I had rather them stand behind me than in front of me...
  9. I like to see guys score, I'm not interested in watching when the Superintendent or grounds crew set it up so that over par wins... I really enjoy watching golf from 160 yards and in...
  10. I don't believe that the newer clubs offer many advantages to todays amateur golfer. The ball just goes that much farther in the woods. And as far as irons go I think there was more consistency in the blades than the irons out now. If you could play blades and consistently score well, then you had to have a decent swing... Just my opinion In my opinion all the newer technology does if give the average or below average golfer just enough hope to keep coming back.
  11. Of course it doesn't Erik, but to someone who feels they take the club to far inside it is a great practice swing... But hey man, I understand this is your place to shine... Just because it's not some logic or swing that you are paid to preach doesn't mean it won't work for someone else.
  12. If Phil doesn't win, it will be Tiger...
  13. I'm thinking at that swing speed a regular shaft is all you need... And at that swing speed I think you should be pretty happy with 250 yard tee shots.
  14. Watch close the swings he makes at :19 seconds. He along with many other PGA Tour Pro's do this before every shot. As Erik said, feel isn't real...
  15. Sounds to me like you have it narrowed down pretty well on what you need to work on. Save yourself some money and check out some youtube lessons on the driver and practice at home in a net or just making swings, until you are ready to devote some time to an instructor... I swing 100 swings every single night with a weighted club, and it's great exercise.
  16. This coming from a guy who has all the major companies endorsed in his own signature...
  17. I like the weight stacked and tilting, but for some reason I am having much better luck with feeling like Olin Browne/Moe Norman/Gary Woodland do on their practice swings before they hit. I like feeling as though I'm taking the club way outside to in (hands stay in close), and divots are straight... It could be that I was so far inside that doing this gives me the sensation of going back outside yet I'm still really inside a little.
  18. The numbers tell the tale: With 17 holes in one, three scores of 59, four scores of 61, and more than 30 course records during his career, Moe Norman dominated Canadian golf through the mid 20th century. - from the website, pretty cool stuff.
  19. I think it's hard to argue with straight back and straight through. At your size you obviously don't need the extra power taught with Angular Motion or whatever the word is...
  20. Because, seriously, I did'n't find an S&T; Thread that addressed this... And with 14,516 members on this forum, you really only have the same 11-40 people on here every day. So does it really matter?
  21. What is the purpose of this swing path besides Push-Draw ball flight? Why not go straight back and straight through? Not saying it's wrong, just curious...
  22. I don't believe that you swing easier with any club, you may shorten the backswing but you should accelerate through every shot. I think that is why you see high handicappers chunk and duff, because they try to swing easy and decelerate in my opinion.[/quote]

  24. I've always only used 1 wedge, a 56 for everything. Inside 80 yards I can do the same thing with it that I could carrying 4 more... Stance and Ball Position is the only wedge change that I need... Ok, I do carry a 60 with no bounce but it sees very limited use.
