  1. I have had a great experience with Iomic putter grips, both the oversized and the midsized. I got mine off e-bay from a very trustworthy store. I can get you the info if you would like. Great grips and easily worth a few extra dollars.
  2. Just pre-ordered a 910 D3 9.5* w/ RIP shaft (S, 70grams). Anyone else excited about this release? Has anyone demoed this already or have some insight?
  3. Anyone know when Taylormade is releasing the remainder of the Ghost putter line?
  4. Has anyone purchased anything from budgetgolf.net? Any information would be very helpful. Thanks.
  5. E-Bay brother! Got my for $18 including shipping.
  6. Just got an oversized iomic putter grip today. All white. Feels great so far.
  7. I have been eying the same grip. Let me know how it works out.
  8. The Tacki-Mac Itomic grips do not look like anything GP makes. Any specific feed back on these?
  9. Anyone play these or heard positive/negatives?
  10. Just an FYI in case you didnt know already. Entourage is based on Mark Walburg and his crew. He writes and produces the show. This is common knowledge at this point but for the guy who asked if "Turtle" and Walburg are friends this should answer your question.
  11. Just my opinion, but I think playing harder courses will always make your scores better (in the long run). The numbers on that course seem really easy, not to take away from your score, but you would tear that place up if you played some tougher tracks.
  12. How in the world can anyone but you answer that question?!?
  13. I always have my tunes on when I practice, and I practice a few times a week. I keep my iPhone in my back pocket and run the headphones under my shirt through the back and the wear them backwards. This way they are 100% out of the way. I am lucky to have a great short game practice area and never really hit shots at the range. I can hit up to 140 yard shots in this short game area so I relly on my feel more than the sound. Listening to tunes actually helps keep me focused and when I am on the course and hear little sounds here and there I never get distracted anymore. Also, if I am having a bad day on the course, I can think of a good song I usually have in a play list and it helps to put me in a more relaxed frame of mind and hit easy shots. Listening to music while I play is one of the best things I have done for my game in the past year and the results are clear as I have gone from a 12 to a 7 this summer.

    Yoga

I read a few articles about major college sports programs in various physical sports who did yoga. Heard the benefits were unreal. I would argue that the mental aspect of things are more beneficial than the physical ones. True meditation and reaching that "zone" is a really powerful thing. Good luck.
  15. Your understanding of bounce, as stated in your first post, is the "dumbed" down version. If you understand those basics of bounce what more do you need to know and why? If you really want a detailed analysis type "wedge bounce" in your google search field and do some reading. If you can hit good wedge shots from various lies then who cares what bounce means.
  16. Thanks for the takes so far. The reason for the comparison to the Pro v1x and not the Prov1 is because I play the x and want to see how the Tour i stacks up to it. Since its not comperable, I am just going to exchange them for a box of Pro v1x. Thanks.
  17. No "aim" line on the ball? Get a sharpie and draw one dude!
  18. I recently got a free dozen Callaway Tour i. How do these compare with the Pro v1x in terms of distance, feel, and spin?
  19. I have the 56* and 60* TP Z. Love both of these. Great feel and great lines. The heads are a little smaller so if you like the look of a bigger head this is probably not the right club for you. Not as many bounce options as the vokeys so if you are particular about your specs you may not find what you want with the TM's. Either way you really cannot go wrong.
  20. Why would you get a 4 wood and 7 wood and still have a hybrid? No offense, but if I were you I would hit the clubs you have until you really learn how to play and then invest in new clubs. You will save money and you will really appreciate a nice set when you are good enough to play them. Too many people think new clubs will translate into better scores but do not take the time to work on their swing and course management. Not to imply that you fall into this category, but make sure you are getting clubs for the right reason.
  21. In these difficult economic times country clubs have been hit hard. Here in the New Jersey/Philadelphia/Delaware area many country clubs have opened to public play. For someone in my situation (that of a poor, golf obsessed law student) this shift has been great. The question I pose is to country club members: how do you feel about your club allowing non members to play? If your club has not made this shift, has it been discussed and if so in what format (i.e. club meeting or board decision)?
  22. This happens to everyone. What separates decent golfers from the excellent ones is the ability to adjust and fix your swing when this type of problem occurs. When this happens to me once, I laugh it off, and try and relax and slow down on the next shot. If it happens twice, then I begin to get concerned. My best advice is step away from the ball for a minute or so and watch some other swings and try to evaluate why you missed, no matter how obvious it was. Step back up, take a good practice swing and have at it. The worst thing you can do is start hitting rapid fire until you hit a good shot. Take your time and try and evaluate and then correct the problem.
  23. I disagree with what has been said about the trajectory and spin relationship and agree with Thaddy. If you hit a moon shot for a sand wedge, the ball will land SOFTER, but that does not mean it will have as much spin. I actually get MORE spin when I hit a 3/4 sandwedge and hit it pretty low. Its not a thin shot, its just lower than a moonshot. Usually this shot will hop once and stop or hit and spin back. If you watch a lot of pros, they do not sky their shots within 70 yards. Most times they hit a low check shot so the wind is not a factor, and they still get great spin.
  24. I just got the C-01 and I am really happy with it. The setup is great. If your stroke is consistent, the roll is consistent. The sound/feel coming off the face is not as "buttery" as some others I have hit, however, the setup and confidence I have with the putter makes up for that. If you have more specific questions let me know. FYI...I have seen some websites selling these for $100 brand new.
  25. I could see a TON of problems occuring with one of these. First time someone went down a slick wet cart path may be the last.
