  1. I Played the Creek course at Carolina Trace Country Club today and shot an 88 from the 6,300-yard tees. I finished with 4/14 fairways with 5 greens in regulations with 33 putts. I have really been struggling off the tee. So bad where I don't even have a shot to go for the green when I do miss. Hope to get it fixed soon so I can back to playing better!
  2. Big fan of the Huberman podcast!
  3. It's officially official: Tom Doak to Design Pinehurst Resort’s 10th Course - Pinehurst Resort Pinehurst - as timeless as the game that inspired it. Find out about Tom Doak to Design Pinehurst Resort’s 10th Course here or visit our site to learn more about all we have to offer!
  4. Pinehurst Resort released the following teaser video a couple of days ago: The voice-over is done by Tom Doak and ever since Pinehurst Resort bought "The Pit" in 2011, speculation has been running wild that the Resort would eventually turn it into No. 10. What's Next For Pinehurst And The Pit? | This is the Loop | Golf Digest Is the Pit going to become Pinehurst No. 9? Not likely. On Monday, the Pinehurst Resort, which has eight golf courses under its umbrella, bought the shuttered Pit Golf Links in Aberdeen, about five miles South... Matt Ginella weighs in: Did anyone get a chance to play The Pit before it closed? Would you be excited to play if a renovation is officially announced?
  5. Played yesterday for the first time in a couple of weeks because of the cold snap. Shot an 86 at Carolina Lakes. It was a sub-par round with every facet of my game, didn't strike the ball well, chipped poorly, and I had 4 three putts with one four (!) putt. There's always next round!
  6. Ha! Very true... However, I have no clue how those people do that... That's lying 24/7 not just for 40 hours a week. LOL
  7. Agreed. This was my logic for not doing it initially. The job I have now comes with unlimited PTO and great benefits along with it being enjoyable work. I didn't want to chance messing that up. However, thinking about what I did in my previous job and what I do now, it would have been very easy to keep both of them with very little chance of ever being caught. I guess with one full-time job I get a clear conscience and that's worth something. 😇
  8. I had the opportunity earlier this year and I'm really starting to regret not doing it. It would have been a great opportunity to pay off some debt/build our savings account as my wife and I have a baby on the way. Ultimately, I decided against it because of the ethical concerns and simply being scared of getting caught. However, in my previous work from home job I legitimately only worked about 10 hours a week and in my current one, I probably only work 20 hours a week. I could have easily completed all tasks for both jobs and in my type of work, the chances of being double booked for meetings would have been slim. Sidenote: I hope corporate America doesn't look too hard at what Elon Musk did at Twitter by cutting half the staff and still improving Twitter. A lot of us may be out of a job. 🙃 Based on the "Overemployed" subreddit, there seems to be quite a few people already doing it or seriously interested. So, is anyone else doing this or had the opportunity to?
  9. Succession & Severance are great as well as The Walking Dead and Yellowstone:
  10. The only time I take my shoes off is when I am getting in the shower or the bed. Much to my wife's displeasure! She says our Roomba gets a workout from me never taking my shoes off.
  11. I was going to say the same thing... Surprised the kind of shoes they wear made the list. I guess a subset of that would be the spikes they use as well. I know I hate spikeless golf shoes and that a lot of pros use metal spikes.
  12. The course looks in really rough shape... It'll be interesting to see how they can transform it and bring it back to life. They said their goal was to make it a private course in the Columbia, SC to do events with other golf content creators'. It should be fun to watch the transformation!
  13. Played Siler City Country Club today and shot a 78. I hit 8/14 fairways and 11 greens with 33 putts. I am happy with the way my game is trending!
  14. I played Quail Ridge GC in Sanford, NC on 12/7 and shot an 81. I hit 6 out of 14 fairways with 7 greens. My putting was lot better this round: 31 putts with only one three putt. I recently changed my putting grip, and it has really improved my confidence on the greens. I still need to work on my scrambling, but overall, I am pleased where my game is headed.
  15. Continuing to work on the weight shift piece. My playing partner was able to get a pretty cool rear view of my swing from the course: You can certainly see the weight shift from this angle! I like how things are progressing so far...
  16. Phil and his wife are swingers and Phil was trying to have sex with Pat's wife.
  17. Awesome! I haven't gotten the chance to play SP since the reno. Also, thanks for the help on Evolvr! My ball striking has certainly improved. Now I just need to practice my short game. 🙂
  18. Shot 83 today at Talamore in Southern Pines, NC from 6,500 yards. I had 8 fairways and 8 greens. Unfortunately, I had 37 (!) putts with four three putts. I have really got to work on my scrambling....
  19. The past couple of months I have been working on my weight shift and getting to my left side. I believe it's finally getting engrained, especially when you compare it to the five-iron swing above. The swing below is from the course, which is good because I know I can carry it from the range to the course.

    Best 74 Ever?

Reminds me of Kevin Na's 16 during round one of the 2011 Valero Texas Open. He wasn't even able to break 80 for the round. Great recovery for Chris!
  21. I wonder if they'll go quietly in the night unlike their CBS counterpart: Peter Kostis goes scorched earth on CBS, PGA over firing: 'Don't give... In his most candid interview since CBS dropped him at the end of 2019 from its golf coverage after three decades, Peter Kostis had some choice words for his ex-employer, the PGA Tour and how his...
  22. Played Quail Ridge in Sanford, NC today where I shot a 78. I was very happy with the way I played, especially with how I hit my irons. Driving could still use a little work, but overall, very pleased.
  23. Good point. I believe I am going to have to keep that alignment stick down to confirm the correct ball position. Also, it'll serve another purpose to of making sure my camera angles are correct. Thanks
  24. Thanks for pointing that out. They did mention my ball position being a touch too far back for both swings. I guess I was just consumed with getting that weight shift and getting on the balls of my feet for my stance. I'll pay more attention to my ball position in the next videos. Thanks
  25. I recently joined Evolvr after spinning my wheels the past couple of years and thought I'd share what I am working on with my instructor. We first worked on improving my grip to make it more in my fingers. Also, we worked on getting my stance more in the balls of my feet instead of sitting back on my heels. Here's what my stance looked like before the change: Here's what it looks like after the change: It's amazing how much improving my grip and stance has already improved my ball striking. I just feel like I am in a better position to attack the ball. From there we started working on my weight shift. The swing below is too rotational and not enough movement forward: This is a harder change to make but I have been working on it the past couple of weeks and here's what it currently looks like: I am excited about the changes that I have made so far, and I am looking forward to continuing to improve.
