  4. damn....that's impressive !
  5. Disagree... Slope is used to determine the differentials.... which end up determining your hadicap Formula is (Score - Course Rating) x 113 / Slope Rating Then everything that you said....(10 best differentials/10) * .96 Slope is definitely used !
  6. At my club stroke championship, I am playing with the club president. 7th hole, Par 5 uphill the last 60 yards. Hits his 3rd shot on the green, spins it back off the green and it rolls 60 yards back. Hits hit 4th shot back on the green about 10 feet above the hole and it sticks. Hits his 5th shot, a downhill putt, misses the hole gathers up speed and watches it go the entire 60 yards back down the hill. He DQ'd himself out of the tournament as he put his ball in his pocket, he was so angry !! Same hole, I am next to green in two, chipping up to near the hole in three so I can putt for my birdie from below the hole. I chip it up, the ball curls around, does not stop and goes the same 60 yards down the same hill. I end up with a 7 as I made sure to leave myself an uphill putt after my next shot. Hello double-bogey !! NO DQ though
  7. First off what happened to your client is BS. You can't use ESC scores to score a match....Putt everything out. The adjustments are done AFTER the round is complete. Total and utter crap I agree with what has been said. Additionally, the handicap system is set up for 18 hole scores. It combines 18 hole scores to give you a handicap. To then cut that in half and say that that is your handicap is not really true. Also, I have found, most guys don't play nearly enough to have a true handicap. A lot of people still have scores from last summer and sometimes even the summer before representing their current handicaps. That's not really a true indication of what you can shoot to this year.
  8. Thanks... I searched for another thread on this topic prior to posting but came up with nothing. Guess I'll try searching again
  9. I am looking to get a new travel bag. My last one is a travel cover. On my last trip my driver showed up in two pieces. What do you guys use/recomend ? I know hard case is the ultimate but it would be hard to travel with two of these and get them into a rental car I am leaning towards a Club Glove Burst proof with wheels and one of those extender sticks. Any words of advice ?
  10. My divots get bigger as the loft of the golf club in my hands increases. Not so much on longer iron clubs and definitely strips on my wedges. Giant size divots in your mid to long irons might not be what you would want. It would indicate that your swing is very steep. This would, in my mind, increase your chance of mis-hits with those irons.
  11. Played Peek 'n Peak upper course in Findlay, NY. on both Saturday and Sunday. It's not too far from Erik's home town in Erie, PA. Played great with my new irons and grip change and all and shot 77 both days. Never in any real trouble but didn't make too many putts. The greens are large and they don't always break as you think. All in all, I am very happy with my scoring there.
  12. Love the ogio bags. Nice bag to carry.
  13. I am a systems LAN/WAN engineer obsessed with golf and trying to get better
