  1. for those of you who use a 1 hybrid instead of a 3 wood, how much distance did you lose?
  2. if you hit the ball low or if you want to hit the ball higher, the 460 is definately a better choice
  3. i believe that the burner tp, even with an open face, still has a draw bias
  4. depends what you want; honestly i like the feel of the reax much better than the nv. i get the ball much higher with the reax, and it feels much smoother; i always felt like i had to really take a rip at the ball with the nv
  5. some and advice from someone who had the same problem; best way to get rid of fades and slices is to learn to hit a hook. best advice i can give is not to grip the club to hard (this restricts your release), and to strengthen your right wrist (left if you're a lefty). in one week i went from hitting nothing but slices to hitting nothing but draws.
  6. any know where i could buy a set of project X shafts? thanks
  7. i have heard that if the shaft is too flexible it promotes a hook, but i doubt it's enought to make that much of a difference. it probably has more effect on the trajectory and distance
  8. thanks for the advice. i'll make sure to give it a try the next time i'm at the range
  9. im hitting the ball much straighter recently, but i'm still hitting it awfully low even when i make fairly solid contact. any advice to hitting it higher?
  10. which arm/wrist is responsible for generating club head lag and which is responsible for releasing the club?
  11. thanks a bunch, that answers my questions!
  12. read up a bit on these, but has anyone ever hit both? what are the differences on the course?
  13. anyone know of any article or information on different types of wedge grinds?
  14. are a one or two plane swinger and what you like/dislike about it
  15. currently using the cleveland, but im looking for something a little bit more forgiving.
  16. I actually have a one plane swing. I know hitting it square and creating lag in the swing is extremely important, above all else. it's just that being small i open to anything that will help me hit the ball farther. My ball striking has improved a 100% and i've gained nearly 20 yards from it. As far as flexibility, I can easily make a 90 degree turn, if not more, so that is not much of an issue. I noticed bwinger made a comment about training muscles to fire quickly, and that bench presses will not help. Other than exercising with a medicine ball, what other exercises will help me to do this?
  17. i know this has been posted before, but there are a lot of questions that haven't been answered in the previous threads. Like many others seeking to increase their swing speed, my size puts me at a slight disadvantage (5'4" 105 lbs.). I know the one of the keys to hitting the ball longer is making consistent solid contact. However i want to know which muscles are responsible for generating swing speed, and how to strengthen them.
  18. uh, i was referring to the the r7 460 and the superquad....not the burner. thanks for the comments though
  19. looking at either a vokey spin milled or a rac TP. any advice?
  20. other than the extra movable weights on the superquad, are there any major differences between these clubs?
  21. i've actually been working on drawing and fading the ball at the range, but never on the course yet (i dont have enough confidence in it quite yet). trying to draw the ball has reduced my slice greatly though (even though i tend to hook it now)
  22. is use the one from my set, but barely touch it since i chip with my sand wedge anyways
  23. i know someone who uses a cheap $60 baseball net...try one of those
  24. 3-pw for me....love hitting a good 3 even if its one in a million
