  2. I am in like Flynn.
  3. I play the 32's and while I love the looks of them and the results, my iron play has never been better since I got these clubs, after a dozen rounds I have yet to really feel the buttery goodness they are known for. I am scoring great with them but very disappointed in the feel. My old Mizuno T-Zoid Pro II's feel a lot better. Both with DG s300 shafts and Lamkin crossline grips. I get that soft flushed feel with them on well struck shots that I do not get with the 32's. The 32's are a bit more accurate tho which is why I have stuck with them. I plan to get the new 69's next year tho. Demoed them and just amazing irons to me.
  4. Please enter me into this great contest. I suffered a back injury 13 years ago and had to give up the game of golf. After working out over the summer to strengthen my core and try to get some flexibility back I am playing again. I have rebuilt my bag and my swing to be more back friendly but the one thing I still suffer with is compressing the ball. I know now the TS should have been the first 'club' to get. I finally broke 90 with a low round of 82. I firmly believe practicing with the TS would get me to the rarified air of 70's! Hopefully this contest will allow me to get one and complete my comeback.
  5. cough...groan Was pulling for snedeker but bad week finished off his chances
  6. So did the Release shafts do the trick for you? Did they help the feel where you could tell without looking up whether you mishit on the toe or the heel?
  7. Do them yourself. I had never regripped before myself and tried and it is super easy. I bought a pint of the lubricant and a package of the precut strips for 11 dollars at Golf Galaxy and took me about 30 minutes to regrip 13 clubs and I have enough solution left to do another 60 or so. They turned out great. It really is easy if you use plenty of solution on them. Use a catch tray to catch the extra solution if you want to and make it last longer. There are plenty of diy videos and instructions out there it.
  8. Sorry, I am really not up on those manufacturers offerings and prices enough to offer advice on the deal. Might check eBay for them to get an idea of what they are going for. Just want to share with you advice to put aside and 'add in' about another 80 bucks to the cost of whatever you are buying used, to pay for having them fitted and lies/lofts checked and adjusted. Maybe more if you have small or large hands for different size grips. No matter how good the deal is, it's not a deal until you finish it up by getting them fit to you. You don't have to be good or experienced to get fitted. But not doing so will really slow down the process of getting better. Hope you enjoy your new set whatever it might wind up being!
  9. Offer must have expired or I am blind. Definitely a possibility. Don't see it anywhere on the JW website.
  10. Hi all, first post but have been reading here of some time now. Love the reviews, best on the web I think. Had been shopping for new irons but thinking about just reshafting mine. I am looking for better feel/feedback in my Mizuno Comp EZ irons. Currently have stock DG Gold Plus S300's. I am looking for a shaft that will be a little more consistent on distance, but mainly that will help give me more feedback from the club face. I want to be able to tell by feel, before I even look up, and know if I hit on the toe or the heel, thin or fat. Just not getting that with the gold plus. It's either smooth = sweet spot or harsh = not sweet spot LoL. My Iron SS is 82 Driver 102. My tempo is pretty quick on downswing but working on smoothing it out. The irons take .355 taper tip. I hit a set of 3-4 yr old blades the other day at GG and could really feel where the contact is but too much club for me. They had stiff DG S300 shafts FWIW. Anyone have experience with these irons back in the day that might have some firsthand advice to share? Thanks
