  1. I hit it in a super quad but it was an S i'm waiting for mine which is a X, i'll have more feed back then.
  2. If you like the blue board you should try the epic, very close to the same characteristics, just the epic is supposed to be accurate. (less chance for shaft to flex at wrong place)
  3. Maltby design 18* project x 6.0 tipped to a 6.5 and loaded with lead tape.
  4. PGM student interning in Rochester. NY
  5. everyones saying sliding your hips are bad, but thats not the case, if anybodys been reading golf digest about stack and tilt they emphasize a hip slip toward the target and up. Doing this allows you drop your arms into the slot and transfer your weight to your front foot and cearing your hips for big powerful shoulder turn. http://www.eagleparbirdie.com/502267.../stacktilt.jpg This is Arron Baddaley (sp) if you notice the start of his downswing is a hip slide, theres a better picture out there right now i just can't find it.
  6. Everyones swing is different, Get on a launch monitor, figure out your speed and spin and go form there. As for the best shafts out there any diamana blue, red or white boards are good, and the graffaloy epic and Aldila Proto. I'm waiting for my epic to get in so I can through it in either an r5 or comp 460
  7. what you want is the distance of graphite shaft with the accuracy of a steel. Take a look in to true tempers tx 90's, there supposed to be the lightest steel shaft out there. http://www.alphaqbike.com/products/steel/tx90.htm
  8. I get between 27 and 36 a day, I also work at a golf course, I played 20 rounds my first 2 weeks a I was home from school. I'm working almost every day now so only getting about 18 in a day so lets see, when I'm at school I get about 18 in a day 6 days a week from March to May so that was 72 give or take a few rounds, plus the 20 the first few weeks thats 92 then add 48 for the last 8 weeks grand total 140+/-. thats half a year so Aug, Sept, Oct. and i'm over 200 rounds a year. Thats 3600 holes a year, thats been my life for the last 3 years.
  9. 6 under 66 at Leatherstock at otsaga. Last year
  10. Everyones a little different, First I would suggest saving your money if he's just beginning, if you can find one send him to a junior camp, I've noticed that one on one with younger children they tend to get board, and can't pay attention as well as an old teenager. I agree teach him putting and chipping first, you can set up a little putting course around the house, and what my sister and I used to do was make a course around the yard an use whiffle balls. Also at night 5-8 o'clock take him to the driving range and just let him hit balls and have a good time, he's going to get frustrated, it comes with the game but just keep encouraging him he'll pick it up, and maybe a year or so down the road take him to a PGA Pro.
  11. I feel the smaller the stance the smaller your swing, I have wider stance just outside my shoulders, i'm also 6' 1". Also helps if you flare your feet a little, helps you make a strong turn through the ball and helps you releasing you hips
