  1. Time to find a new course or tell the club house what an idiot the ranger was! I play the back at my home course twice as much as the front. Many times I play the back twice. Longer and more challenging than the front.
  2. I go from my 5wood to 4 iron...I carry a 3 iron and tried two hybrid 3's..I like the 5 wood and 4 iron better. I hit the 3 iron very seldom, usually as a knock down on windy days. Never felt like I could control hybrid distance and accuracy. Did I mention I like my 5 Wood?
  3. Went as expected. Some really good drivers and some pretty bad slices! Scrambled in with a 44 with two lost balls. Par 35. Ball flight with new 9.5 driver still a little higher than I would like, maybe I need to move ball back in my stance? Currently play it in front of my left foot...tee it high...in the past when I try moving ball back some I slice even worse. Iron play I don't slice, 90% straight, some a slight fade. 3 & 5 wood same ratio.... My driver needs work....I slowed tempo down and made good contact, but 2 drivers were big balloon slice...ball never to be seen again! More range time to come over next several days....any drills any one may have would be great. Thanks.
  4. Thanks guys, I believe the rushing/tempo is my problem. I play at three course. One I mentioned, the other two are much shorter. I play so much at this par 3 course, that I think when I get to a longer course....mostly on the par 5's....I think I need to crush my driver...I don't!!! When I play the par 3 course I know I can reach every green so I grab the club that allows me to swing easy. On a long par 5 I want to keep up with my buds and get home in 2...I do not have the game for that. I also read somewhere that even with the driver you need to pick a realistic target...I usually look to far down the fairway...going out to course #3 tonight for league...I will let you know how it goes....By the way new driver since last week,,,went from R7 to 09 Burner. New driver not the issue, always have had that rushing issue with the driver....it comes and goes...tempo and drop right elbow in pocket...thanks again. Buddy is a 8 hcp, so I feel he can help me.
  5. Played a round yesterday, shot a 93 at Winchendon Golf School. Buddy said I was coming over the top too much. I know what this means, but not sure how to correct. After he made that comment, I felt like I was 'aiming or steering the driver' He also said I only seam to do it with the driver. My 3 & 5 wood I hit just like my 5 & 7 iron swing. Is over the top caused by me trying to kill the driver? Too much right arm? Drills to correct or how to correct. Thanks
  6. must agree Ali is #1 Babe is #2 Tiger#3
  7. My Last 6 or 7 rounds have been played at 'The Shattuck' in Jaffrey NH. 3 monster par 5's each of which force you to think. Each hole has a name: #5 is "The Gauntlet" 612 from the tips, I play the blues its about 575. Driver/4 or 5 Iron/wedge. Stream in front of green.... #6 is "Triple Threat" I play 5 iron/7 iron/wedge or 9.....swamp out straight and left for second and in front of green...snakes in there....I hate snakes! #15 is "Double Trouble" shorter version of #6, but swamp is further from Tees. I play driver/ 8 iron/ wedge...this green is a postage stamp!!! Check it out "The Shattuck" rated some where in the top 50 from the tips. Top 2 or 3 in New England.
  8. My 99 Harley FLH...ride it when I'm not golfing and to work 1-2 days a week
  9. Voted other, only because I like my Carbite putter, but have been 'shopping' around. I can't seam to get the 'feel' for the soft face putters...but the new Odyssey Black with harder insert felt great...price up there though...anyone using this putter...my Carbite is too hard a face for faster greens at some of the nicer courses I play, but works fine for my home course.
  10. distance control with wedges 90 yrds on in. Pitching has improved this year, but tough to practice at the courses I play....they don't have that type of facility...so I get my practice while playing...
  11. 2004 & 2007 sleeve for Red Sox World Series Champions Soon to have 2008 Celtics sleeve as well!!!
  12. I have then on my clubs...will need to replace soon...looking to go with Winn! Personal preferance...I have Winn on all my non TM clubs...they are fine grips...no issues just like Winn better
  13. Could not agree more!!!!

Yeah, I knew they 'owned' WEC, but those guys at those weight classes deserve to be ib the big show....rather watch 135 & 145 than Tim Silva fight any one! Heavy weights in UFC not much to watch these days...
