  2. Yeah! I've always been skeptical about these online daily deal sites and I just noticed that another one, DoGolf.com , came out with another deal for a "Mystery Box". I purchased one they had before for $20, but did not receive what I thought was a "good" compilation of prizes. Pretty much what you all are saying here. I was a little hesitant to purchase another DoGolf "box", but I think they have a more transparent deal and have listed out ALL the items that we can potentially receive. Whatever, I just bought a couple hoping to get that grand prize driver. The way I see if, if I end up with even one of the other prizes, I'd be happy. Hell, if I end up with just an umbrella, I think I wouldn't mind since winter is starting to roll around. At least this time around, I'll know what I'm getting on the low end.
  3. yes! this is exactly what I was talking about. Thanks for the link - although it has be removed. :)
  4. On the back swing, so that you don't start with your body, I would practice cocking your wrists back before any other part of your body moves. Also, a trick that i like using on the backswing is to imagine that my club is being pulled from me. maybe you already knew these tips, but just thought I'd share a little.
  5. That is amazing! Congratulations! I have never sunk an eagle before, but I still get an awesome feeling when I get a Birdie, so I can only imagine the feeling for an EAGLE! Congrats again!
  6. I have always wondered about this as well. I think I was watching ESPN and there was a pro recently who swung and whiffed! I'm not sure whether they counted it or not, but I agree with you all, if he was trying to hit it, then it counts as a hit. If not, then no swing. Haha.. but when I play with my friends and they swing and miss, we NEVER count it!
  7. I have never played with golves on both hands. I don't know if it is because it is a weather related thing, but I live out in Los Angeles and I have never needed to "stay warm", so I usually just use a glove on my left hand. It helps with grip and swing control.
  8. You definitely can get fitted for clubs you already own. I think that's what most people do. However, I think that if you buy new clubs, some places may give you a discount or even do it for you for a small fee. I think they cost about $100-$200 depending on the grab. I heard it helps a good amount in your game.
  9. I actually don't have a GPS and really never thought of getting one until recently. What are some of your guys' thoughts as to the pros and cons of getting a GPS?
  10. I totally agree. I think making a good swing is the key to a good ball flight. Although, I get so annoyed of people who have the worst looking swing, but then their balls fly straight and far. It's like Charles Barkley's swing! haha.. but yes, I am a proponent for a good swing and those nets are useful.
  11. I've had my clubs for almost 5 years and I've only used my 4 iron about 3 times!
