  1. I'll probably just use my point and shoot camera and put it on a tripod. It's pretty good at taking video and I don't need anything too fancy. I guess I want to use it to fix glaring weaknesses.
  2. What do you do in addition to recording your swing that helps you improve your game?
  3. Thanks! I suppose what I will do is record it at some point and just see my mechanics. If I see a glaring spot I'll try and correct it and otherwise just keep practicing to get consistency!
  4. Is there any place in your area where you could try them out? Any set of irons from either one of those brands will be good. At that point it's probably all about personal preference. :)
  5. Have you ever recorded your swing and did it really help you? I'm thinking about just recording my swing a few times to see what I can improve on. Another thing that would help would be recording, say, 5 with each club. I'll see what swings produced the best contact and compare them with the ones that didn't produce good contact. But, if this wouldn't really help me out, I wouldn't try it because I wouldn't want to waste my time with it. ;)
  6. We go to a resort that has a golf course on it where you get unlimited golf. It may not be a "golf vacation" but it's a great family vacation where you can golf 2 or 3 times a day! (Or more, if you really wanted to) That's the closest I've been to a 'golf vacation'. There is also a hotel about half a mile from me and they have a golf course you can play when you stay there. You could look for things like that, too.
  7. I said 286-320 which may be a bit generous, but I feel like if I try to get everything behind it I hit it about 300. I'm assuming this poll means only shots where we are on say, a par 4 and are trying to hit it very far. Granted, I sometimes play it more conservative to keep it on the fairway, so maybe more like 250-275ish, but when I want to knock the snot out of the ball, I sure seem to be able to. This is one part of my game I've spent seasons on, though, and it's finally just coming around. Hopefully my short game can develop.
  8. I bounce back and forth between these: Titleist ProV1 Nike ONE Black Callaway HX Tour And if I'm on a hole where I might lose a ball: Any Nike, like Power Distance or the like.
  9. TaylorMade Rac OS2s 3-PW will be at my door on Tuesday! :) Very excited.
  10. Thanks for the suggestion! Any chance you know of places online I can look where you can get +1 clubs?
  11. Awesome! Nice that people have been around here. I love it here.
  12. Do you need to spend more money to get iron sets?
  13. How's it going today guys?! I'm from Minnesota and I'm super excited about new golf clubs. If anyone else is in the area I live very near Stonebrooke. Looking forward to meeting you all!
  14. So, I'm 6'7" and it was my 20th birthday yesterday. I will need at least a +1 and I'm not sure where I should get these clubs. It would be nice to know of a couple websites that you can find plenty of long clubs on that are legit (no one likes being screwed, right?) So any suggestions would be great and here is everything I can tell you that may help you: Hand: Right Height: 6'7" Weight: 150 (Yes, I'm that skinny. ) Price range: 200-350 most likely, depending on the bargain. If I can get $500 clubs for $300 and $550 clubs for $375, guess what, I'd take the $300 set, but it may expand if it's a super sweet set of clubs. Anything else?
  15. To be perfectly honest I avoid wedges at almost all costs. I'm much better with my 9 iron for whatever reason, but when I do need a wedge I use the PW or LW at almost the same frequency.
  16. I am 20 and I am a sophomore in College. It would appear that I'm from the most popular age group on the forum, as well! ;) I've been golfing since a very young age, I wish I knew when exactly but I must have been about 7 or 8.
  17. Right now I am a full time student for a living! In the summers I work for the YMCA as School Age Child Care. :)
