  1. The Lefty in me says hell yeah, but that waffle iron he putts with bugs me.
  2. @JetFan1983 - Struggling, relatively speaking. Meaning in comparison to how dominant he looked a couple years back. I'm sure he will be fine..don't read too much into my observation - it was just to make a point of how hard it is to maintain dominance.
  3. Quicky quicky...not a good first swing.
  4. When I see someone like Rory, who seemed dominant a couple years back, now struggling & someone like Spieth who won back-to-back Majors in 2015 kinda doing the same, know what I think? Tiger was pretty damn good. And Elk is an asshat (trying to stay in touch with the thread lol).
  5. Yeah that wind is whipping. Not gonna see any 63s today. Or 65s...or 67s. 12 under is leading now. I wouldn't be surprised if 10 under wins it. Yeah really. Let's get some more people trampling around on that green before the players come through...
  6. Well, someone has to lead...irrespective of the width of the fairways. Don't see what that has to do with Miller's comment about Oakmont's fairways versus Erin Hills & JT's 63. Did Harman shoot 63?
  7. Reading about Johnny Miller's response to Justin Thomas's 63, and they are, well, very Miller-esque - https://sports.yahoo.com/everything-else-way-secondary-miller-005626954.html We were having a mini-convo on this in the middle of this thread, about how Miller talks a lot about himself while he is commentating. Some disagreement regarding. But this isn't that - Miller isn't doing commentary for anyone this year. But, of course, he was asked about Thomas's 63. And when I said they were Miller-esque, what I meant was, he was edgy, a little snarky...and right. JT's 63 was a great accomplishment, no doubt. But it wasn't a final-round to win the Open at Oakmont 63. I personally give credit points to the fact that Miller's was in the final round to win when virtually everyone else was struggling, whereas JT's was, honesty, the lowest of a bunch of low rounds shot that day - 65s, 67s. Lot of players were going low. Heck - JT wasn't even leading at the end of the day! I realize that Miller rubs a lot of people wrong. He doesn't have the graciousness of Nicklaus or the humility of Palmer. But that doesn't mean he was wrong about JT's round. They say the truth hurts sometimes. In Miller's case, he has the tendency to make sure it does.
  8. I don't see that happening tomorrow. Too many players within a couple of shots. Whoever wins, it's not gonna be where someone gives it away like Spieth did to Willett - someone is gonna have to shoot a 65 or 66 to win it. We may have an unknown champion, but I'm willing to bet that that unknown player goes real low tomorrow to take it, not handed it.
  9. Hellz yeah.
  10. I use it sometimes when I'm just not sure of the break...it kinda works as a 'decision maker' for me, which allows me to commit to a line. Sometimes the line is wrong, but again, I was unsure to begin with. So it at least has the effect of getting me to commit to something.
  11. I'll predict it now - "Have you any dreams you'd like to share, Tommy?"
  12. Less play to show. Most golfers have finished.
  13. Don't care for idiots who yell out stuff, but I gotta give props to the guy who started singing "Don't stop thinking about tomorrow..." when Fleetwood teed off.
  14. I know, and if you recall my first post on this, I said that I hoped the USGA wouldn't trick it up. They haven't. So good on them.
  15. Ain't biting on that, Erik.
  16. And he's right. It's a birdie-fest out there. He's not talking about himself.
  17. Well, I've certainly heard him talk about his experiences when he played while broadcasting, but not in a 'I was so much better than them' or other kind of way to make him sound superior. He relates his experiences.
  18. Johnny has never struck me as a braggart. In fact, I remember him talking about the 'divine intervention' on the practice tee before his record round, talking about a 'voice' that told him to open his stance. He gives credit to the voice, not himself.
  19. Johnny's got a trophy. Justin better get his now or Johnny still has bragging rights - still the lowest final round in US Open history.
  20. With two bogeys! That's insane. I just rocketed up the Draftking leaderboard with that...thanks JT!
  21. My DraftkIngs lineup is the good, the bad & the ugly - 2 players tied for the lead - Fowler & Thomas 2 players under par - Cabrera-Bello & Kooch 2 players missed the cut - Duf & Berger
  22. Nice whiff, Paul.
  23. A desperate attempt for Elk to stay relevant. Which, given he was the most hated guy on tour, makes for an odd desire - 'Hey don't forget about me...I was a total douchenozzle. Here's a shot at Rory in case you forgot.'
  24. Is anyone else getting a "blank screen" right now on Fox? Arrrgh....I think I have to call my cable provider.
  25. My pick is Matsuyama. He's been knocking on the door a lot lately.
