  1. It's a great course....I played it once about 8 years ago. Holiday is a really great course, and just minutes from the beach too... It's on Back Beach Road. My whole family lives in Panama City, and my Uncle (extremely good sub-par golfer) played that course religiously...Now he's a member at The Sharks Tooth , the course Greg Norman designed for The Wild Heron development....it's pretty fancy, and impressive. 7,204 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 74.9 and it has a slope rating of 136. My grandparents have two condos there, and I have visited there several times......What a course, I've never played it, as it is well out of my leauge.
  2. First of all, the nine hole courses I play have par 3's, 4's and 5's. And yes, it's to play against eachother, and also I just want to track my progress.....Is there a worksheet or a handicap scoring card or something I can download for free?
  3. I've looked at those, and I want one......i'd be interested in hearing some opinions too......
  4. How do i find my handicap if I only play local 9 hole courses and stuff? Is there some sort of thing I can use to rack my rounds? What if the courses I play don't have a slope or a rating? I don't know what to do, or really much at all about it....
  5. Did you just make this up? This is the most awesome description of a ladies "cash and prizes" that I have ever read! I think I choked on my cola just now!
  6. One of my buddies hit a brick fence pillar, and the ball shot behind us, bounced down the street and stopped about 100 yards away...That was pretty funny.
  7. Well, I hope so! Everyone told me getting married would be hard, and so far it's been a breeze....so hopefully fatherhood turns out to be just as enjoyable!
  8. My first is on the way, the wife is due on November 12th, so we'll have to wait and see. We know it's a boy........I only play golf about 3 to 4 times per month, and usually the driving range once or twice.
  9. I don't have a fairway wood. I just use my 3 Hybrid.
  10. #1 Blue Moon Belgian White with a big slice of orange #2 New Belgium Brewery: Fat Tire #3 Warsteiner #4 Sam Adams Cherry Wheat #5 Killians Irish Red
  11. Wine is for wussies.....Beer is the only way to true enlightenment
  12. If my swing is too fast for a regular flex shaft, what will the ball typically do? Does that allow the clubface to stay open longer resulting in a slice or something? I just notice that my driver is really bending a LOT when I swing full force. I was going to buy a new driver, but if that's not the issue...I guess basically my question is: If the flex is too stiff what happens? If the flex is too soft what happens?
  13. Use them till they snap in half, or until you feel like your skill has exceeded their capabilities. My grandpa was a single digit handicapper, and he used some ancient Wilson forged Irons for like, 20 years.
  14. Keep it up dude! Just keep plugging away and you will improve! I just broke 90 for the first time yesterday. I've been whacking away at it for about 3-1/2 months now, and I was starting to get frustrated....I love this game too....
  15. I hit a nice little knockdown shot with my 5 iron under a pine tree from about 100yard out. It trickled onto the green and left me with a 5ft par save. I hit another great shot with my hybrid, from about 190 I blasted it over a dogleg, I could'nt see it fall from behind the treeline. I came around the corner and saw it sitting about 6ft from the pin for birdie. The best shot I "saw" was a guy that I played along with yesterday, he way overshot the green and had a bad lie on the edge of the cart path. Instead of taking a penlalty stroke for a better lie, he chipped onto the green and it rolled straight into the cup for a birdie. He was pretty happy with that shot to say the least...
  16. I finally broke the 90's with an 87 yesterday.
  17. I use a spanish gold dubloon I found while diving in wrecked pirate ship off the coast of Barbados. It's a little large, but it does the trick...
  18. I broke my record and walked 36 holes yesterday for my Birthday. I shot a 90 and an 87.
  19. I would definitely call it on that one!
  20. Just get some high pile carpet scraps....they work just fine.
  21. "Anatomy of My Back Nine Collapse" I go to several 9 hole courses in the areas around my house. I routinely shoot a score of 8 to 10 strokes over. If I play 18 holes I end up around 25 to 30 strokes over. 1. Fatigue is not an issue, I have plenty of juice. 2. Iacas, I am really unfarmiliar with the back nine of most courses, when I played regularly in highschool we only practiced on the front 9. 3. DiggityDog could be right on points 2 and 3. I do count my strokes and try to keep my score under what I think I'll hit. Also, I do tend to lose focus easily if I feel rushed, or if I have a poor tee shot, which is pretty much every hole.
  22. I don't know what happens when I play 18 holes. My average 9 hole score is 8 over. My average 18 hole score is 30 over. Shouldn't I be closer to 20 over? I don't know why my strokes seem to balloon out of control when I play 18 holes. Do any of you have this problem?
  23. Dude, I think you have anger issues.....The photo was obviously a joke, and you took it all serious like people were about to die and sh!t. I was just prodding you because you are talking like you have all this property that is constantly being threatened by errant golf ball missiles hurled by street toughs......it's funny is all. dang.....
  24. What are you an 90year old? You sound like everyone's grandmother......
  25. I would totally do that.... Because I'm irresponsible, and I like danger.
