I've got a problem that has been wearing me out for 6 years now. No matter what improvements I make to my Golf Swing I can't fix this one problem.
On my takeaway, my hands lay off and the club starts out on an inside plane. I proceed to continue on this severely flat plane with a broken left wrist until I reach the parallel point, then my wrist bends back to normal and fixes the club position. From there my downswing is normal, but I still fall back sometimes on my back foot. (That's a whole other, more fixable problem.)
But what should I do about the layed off wrist? I just want to take the club straight back as I should and as I always do when practicing in front of a mirror. For some reason its a bad habit, and no matter how much I think I've fixed it, it always happens in my backswing without me knowing it. Is my problem in how I start my swing? Perhaps I should practice only using my body to rotate? Although when I think I've starting minimizing my arm/wrist usage it still seems to happen in my backswing... Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
