  1. I just bought a new mashie 15.5 for 68$ niceand. Cheap for a good club
  2. I hitmy m3 mashie 230 and my m4 215 i love them looking at getting thr 3w
  3. Is thst shaft stiff or reg flex
  4. I like dustin johnson in this simply due to him having rediculous confidence coming off the hyundai. He'll probably be hitting a lot of 3i off the tee haha.
  5. what i think is funny is that any of you guys think that they would get caught in a drug test, only an idiot would get caught. I work in nuclear power plants, and oil refineries, all of which have rediculously strict drug policies, and i know guys that smoke more dope in a week than most have ever seen their whole lives, they always pass the tests, theres ways around them. personally i dont smoke anything, but i've got no problem with anyone that wants to smoke a little weed, id rather have a liberal pothead, than a conservative alchoholic in a nuke containment with me. That being said, i live in illinois and have been to the john deer and cog hill, and have been at a few of the local night spots after the rounds were done and there are a few well known pros that party like frat boys on spring break... weed included.
  6. I have this problem a LOT the most difficult public course in the area, They have leagues there, and there are invariably a group of old duffers in front of me "playing a practice round" The last time i played there i was 3 hours through the 8th hole, i was absolutly livid, they would not let me play through, I drove off the course to the club house and they had not a care in the world about it, i informend them id like my money back from the back 9 i didnt play, which they declined, ill be bringing this up with the county course commisioner this year
  7. to sum it up.... not to suck :-D Im very streaky, sometimes will birdie 2-3 holes in a row, then go full on stupid and have double snow men on par 4s. My goal for this year was 85, and i didnt make it. for me it seems to be all in between the ears, i can do it physically but mentally its not there, i really need to work on my line up, I hit some fantastic tee shots on par 5s this year, an totally screwed the pooch the 2nd shot due to rushing and improper alignment, I feel i could have shot 85 with ease this year if i could hold a round together. such is life though i suppose, Ill keep going at it as soon as the courses open back up (maybe a little winter golf)
  8. Im up in rockford., Mainly play country courses (which are spectacular this year) and rockford courses including the venerable Aldeen golf club, one of the top 50 courses for under 50$ in the country. Extremly nice course.
  9. Im a 28yr old journeymen wiremen (electrician) I spend a lot of my time working at car plants (thing 150 acres of concrete under roof) i used to have the same problem, it came down to what i was wearing on my feet, I wore redwings up until a year ago when i bought my first pair of thoroughgood wedge soles... 100% usa materials and USA MADE (in wisconsin) Thier wedge sole is absolutly the best boot i for electricians i have ever found. They are very supple leather and last a long time, they also are cheaper than redwings (figure that out) The model i prefer i believe is being discontinuted but its the Crazy horse 8" i highly suggest you go check them out, i think when you first put them on you;ll realize the differnce. Remember any boot with a heal isnt good for your back
  10. Here's a coulpe quick crappy videos i took, I know i have to much "hip slide" from what people tell me, These were just picking a club up right when i walked in the door from work, sore, stiff and tired. I generally hit the ball quite straight no real hook or slice problems to speak off, more what i call ball alignment issues, as in ill take the ball to far forward or back in my stance depending on club and pull it left or push it right. Let me know what you guys think. thanks.
  11. Aldeen is one of the top 50 public courses in the nation, and its like 38$~!!. Yes im very familiar with dekalb, Im actually working there right now on a new 1,000 bed dormitory right off annie glidden, Right next to Grant North and South.
  12. Hi tim, Im up in rockford, Small world. Hope your enjoying the weather and getting some good rounds in!
  13. Thanks Mvmac for the reception, and the helpful links. Seems like a very well run forum, I have over 50,000 forum posts, this seems to be one of the more civil forums around!
  14. Sorry for the caddy shack quote, but i couldnt resist. My name is adam, im a 28yr old electrician who has recently made started taking golf much more serious. I began playing at 12 or so of and on, peaking probably at 16 when i could consistently shoot in the mid/high 80s. I didnt golf nearly as much once i started driving as I had other sports that i was more into such as track. Ive recently put my hobby/obsession with drag racing and engine building on the back burner as it was taking to much time, to much money, and causing way to much stress. My game has some serious holes like any other amatures, but im working on them, and working hard to hit my goal of 85 this year. My first round out i shot 55/45 for 101, terrible, but not super terrible i dont think being that I havent played in 2.5 years. I bought new clubs this year as well, I have ping g15 woods which i hit very well, and bran new cleveland CG7 irons with stiff iron shafts (93mph with 8iron when they tested me) (103 driver) Im fairly consistent with ball placement while on the driving range, but im looking to bridge the gap to the course, which obviously if the hard part of golf. Sorry for the long winded introduction, i look forward to advice, comraderie, bad jokes, and possibly good drinks if anyone is in my area! Please pardon my internet spelling and grammar as well. Regards Adam.
