2. Maybe racial wasnt the right word to use, Im only trying to give a point of view from this side of the color spectrum most times. Since alot of times we're talking about athletes that share the same skin tone as I do. I wont be doing that anymore, didnt know it was offensive. Im not saying other races arent raised by mothers Im only saying most blacks are raised by ONLY mothers in a single parent household. I guess I should've made that more clear. I guess I should change my avatar to a picture of Al Sharpton or something sheesh!
3. Thanks man! I still havent mastered the art of thinking before typing LOL
4. I like what Chris Carter said that he loves his mom, she tried her best, but there are some things that she did wrong. Im not trying to go :offtopic: here and I tend to always go racial but hear me out. In the African American community most men are raised by their mothers. (I bring up race beacuse AP is black, Im black, and so is most of the NFL) We are told early and often "what momma says goes" or "Im the mother you're the child." As long as I can remember it was drilled into me do not question my mother. If you're bought up getting spankings or whoopins you think it's normal. As weird as it may sound my mom would whoop me with a switch and 2 mins later clean me up and tell me she was only doing it out of love. Or my favorite one was "Im whooping you now so the police wont have the chance to do so later." I dont know AP but Im 98% sure he thinks he's doing his duties as a dad by disciplining, but he went too damn far. Sorry for rambling but Im gald CC said what he did, moms are wrong sometimes. Maybe this will start a much needed conversation about the subject not just in the black community but everywhere.
5. Nope I hadnt seen the pictures. Im not saying what AP did was right but after seeing these pictures I think he went too far. The prinipal Im speaking of would use his hand on kids backsides over the clothes, nothing like this. Idont spank my kids so I'll be damned if someone else does.
6. Times sure have changed, the principal in my elementary school used to put kids over his knee.
7. You're right my bad.
8. The video of some person robbing a store turns out was not Brown, it was a tactic the police used to try to sully the kids name. The store owners were quoted saying they never laid eyes on Brown. Several people have stated from the very beginning the kid was not charging the cop and had his hands up when killed. Two contractors working in the area saw the whole thing and have recently come out and said the same thing. I dont know how but there is video of the contractors reacting to the shooting. The video is below in the link pleae feel free. But Im just saying a man is locked up for spanking his child and a man is free after murdering someone in cold blood. 10. Ok from someone here who has been spanked as a child, I hate to say but it's a cultural thing. I've been "spanked with belts, wooden spoons, extension cords, and of course switches. There were times I was even made to go outside to the tree and pick out my own switch. I knew damn well not to come back with some wimpy thing because my mother would've gone outside and came back with the tree to beat me with. I really believe AP is only doing what has been done to him..........the whole spare the rod spoil the child thing. It's a cycle that I am trying to break with my own children. How can I tell them not to hit if I hit or spank them? My oldest son is 3 so he's able to understand the whole timeout thing and we take the iPad and other stuff away and that REALLY pisses him off lol. To call what AP did child abuse is taking it way too far. AP is in jail for spanking his child but the cop who KILLED Mike Brown is a free man? Somethings wrong with that. EDIT - I just read the kid is only 4 years old. If that's the case then yeah he wet too far. Not sure he needs to be in jail but a 4 year old is too small to be hitting with switches.
11. Done
12. After the new NFL drug policy is announced today it is expected that Josh Gordon's suspension will be reduced to 8 games. This is according to Adam Schefter via twitter not long ago.
13. For the fun of it maybe? We come hear to talk about golf, best believe if golf is on TV somewhere Im gonna watch it.
14. Im in and I agree it would have to be uncensored. As a matter of fact throw Barkley in there also.
15. There was a guy recently here on the forums promoting his GPS watch that sounds similiar to what you're describing. His watch didnt look bad at all size wise to me, but maybe thats becasue Im used to wearing a Fitbit while golfing.
16. From Ray Rice's wife In a post from her Instagram page Tuesday morning, and verified by the Baltimore Sun, Janay Rice writes, "I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I'm mourning the death of my closest friend. But to have to accept the fact that it's reality is a nightmare in itself." She continued, "No one knows the pain that the media & unwanted options from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret every day is a horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass of for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific." Rice ended the post by saying, "THIS IS OUR LIFE! What don't you all get. If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you've succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love you!"
17. This is all Im trying to say.
1. Its possible that she feels differently than you do and your beliefs are unlikely to factor into her personal intentions. And I never called anyone a gold digger. 2. Ascribing gold digging intentions to this lady simply doesn't follow as the only, or even most likely reason for sticking with him. Battered women often stay with their man. Here are some common reasons, other than gold digging. http://www.domesticabuseproject.com/get-educated/compelling-reasons-women-stay/
Ok sir like I said I'll be the bad guy here, Im not about to argue this point any further.
18. But she stayed with him, leaving the door open for it to happen again. And sorry but when the abuser says "It'll never happen again." I dont buy that one bit. If me saying she needed to leave him after cracking her jaw makes me a bad guy then that's fine.
19. Im not smearing anyone. I have a buddy who has a sister. He fought a guy who put hands on his sister and a week later she went back to the guy. I was there when he told her the next time he does it he will not be there to fight the guy again. If it happens once SHAME ON THE GUY, if it happens again shame on both parties.
20. Now that he's cut and pretty much done in the league we'll see how long it takes for her to divorce him and try to take half of his earnings thus far. She'll be doing the talk show circuit and star in a reality show soon.
21. I heard the opposite early this morning, but now Im hearing what you heard. Who knows what the real deal is?
22. Williams seems to forget every now and again that he is the employee.
23. Congrats Erik! Im proud as HELL to be part of this WORLD FAMOUS golf forum!
24. Im pretty easy going, you can talk about pretty much anything and it would bother me. Like a poster above stated wives and kids are off limits.
