  2. that did it. dont know why i didnt just check there to begin with. thanks!
  3. it was available when i was editing my signature. i know you're thinking thats crazy, but i promise it wasnt there.
  4. I just got my signature, and i wanted to be able to add tiny images of the brands of each of my clubs. I copy and pasted them in, but when i submitted my signature it didnt take. What's the correct way to link them in?
  5. i had another lesson today and the big problem was my top half was WAYYYYY ahead of my lowed. im moving my arms before my ankles and knees. i was working with Andrew today on breaking my knees first and i was taking 3/4 swings with a 7iron and stopping at half follow-through and hitting it 130-150 with a little draw.
  6. haha im going more on millions in the bank...and another what, $1.4M from today?
  7. i'll do that next weekend when i have a chance and hit a few. thanks
  8. yeh, i did. and Dufner isnt exactly the most in-shape and nicest looking guy either...hmmm
  9. no, no problem at all with the 55*, just looking to upgrade my wedges. Whats typical...to carry a 58* and a 60*?
  10. cant spend that kind of money right now on a driver. wish i could. any other suggestions? i also dont know my swing speed, i can take a trip to PGA superstore and get the cameras to read it though.
  11. As some of you know that have frequented the clubs section, i am upgrading my whole bag since i am serious about learning the game and need clubs much better than the junk i've inherited over the years. So, right now i am using a Dunlop Linear Force 10.5* (i know, no laughing). It's just bad. I am a high handicap, so i am looking for something with a lot of forgiveness and something that is smooth. I'm 6'2'', 220lbs, so i cn generate a lot of power myself, but i still want something thats hot off the face b/c the number one thing i need to work on it "effortless power", not "powerless effort". Any suggestions? I'm looking at something used, not new.
  12. See, thats what i was thinking. I know Cleveland makes great wedges which is why i was considering it, but then i thought about it and its not much different from anything i have so.
  13. That's the best thing, he is Dawg!
  14. actually, when i got fitted i hit the Wilson Ci6's and Cobra S2's. The S2's were weighted heavier bringing the club head down and through the ball...problem was, it was making me hit the ball much closer to the heel than the sweet spot. From what i have heard and read, the S2's are better than the S3's. If you can find a set of the S2's i'd go with them. They are a good club, and since they're a little older they will save you more. Other thing is, i know a lot of people arent big on King Cobra, but again, its all personal preference.
  15. I just got fitted at PGA Superstore the other day. I;m 6'2'' and they fit me and found i needed +.5'' on the shaft. I'd imagine at 6' standard length would be fine. I would recommend a set of irons that were manufactured a couple years ago that you can still find new at Golfsmith, Edwin Watts, etc. This way you are getting new, but also they'll be cheaper now. Don't sell yourself short and get something real low end because you will just need to upgrade again once you're more consistent. However, going real high end right now isnt cost effective or going to be goo to learn on because they may be harder to hit, depending on what you get. I just got a set of Wilson Staff Ci6. They were manufactured in 2007, but i bought them brand new with new grips, the extended shafts, and all labor done on them for $150. Wilson is a great company and had good products, you just dont hear about them as much because they dont sponsor a lot of players. Additionally, they are cheaper anyways because they also dont have the overhead like TaylorMade, Callaway, PING, etc. Just some food for thought.
  16. if you think about it, it makes a lot of sense. He has one of the most unusual and uncanny swings in the game. I imagine it took a LOT of time, frustration, and hard work to get the end result, especially if it was self-taught. If only i could mirror him. Im a lefty as well and Bubba is certainly a great role model, however, i dont know if i should exactly take too much from his mechanics. LOL
  17. thats awesome! hopefully one day when im shooting in the 80's my wife will bring home a nice set of clubs for me! Welcome to TST.
  18. A local store has a Cleveland CG14 56* wedge used in Good shape for $32. Just debating it because the SW in my Bag now is 55*. would anyone buy it and use both the SW and the 56*, or buy it And only use the Cleveland wedge, or not buy it at all given The 1* difference?
  19. keep in mind most hybrids are going to give you a higher ball flight and less roll on impact with the ground for comparable models. I just purchsed a Wilson DXi 3H at 19*. i havent hit it yet, but when i do i can post and let you know how it feels. Not knocking TM and the RBZ line by anymeans, but it's much easier on the pocket.
  20. i agree with this. However, i just went through the same thing you're going through now. I was looking at new sets as well, but were manufactured years ago. The Wilson Staff Ci6 and Cobra S2 iron lines. I loved the look of the S2's and sorta liked the Ci6's. However, i hit the 2 at the PGA Superstore and i hit the Ci6's much better. I squared the ball better and hit it more in the hot spot then the S2's. In addition, the Ci6's were $200 cheaper. Keep that in mind. Although it looked great, that doesnt mean its best for you. However, i wouldnt sell yourself short on something you will need to upgrade again in 6 months to a year.
  21. i agree, a little bizarre.
  22. i was watching some of the coverage on Golf Channel today and Bubba was really struggling with his short game. His play around the greens from the rough and bunkers was really bad. Last i saw he was -3.
  23. i know to start off i go pull up a little early and move my head to follow the ball. i need to stay still more through the follow through. im not putting a lot of stock in the shot yesterday with the wind, however, i still know something was wrong based on the ball flight prior to the wind getting it. i do know it was a push fade because off the club face the ball was straight maybe 20 yards before turning left and then it took off.
  24. im working on taking the wife to the range to video my swing for everyone to analyze. And, there is a LOT of side spin on the ball. I'm taking on the push-fades, when it makes contact with the ground...it kickes further left another 15-20 feet.
