  1. I can hit the range and make great contact shot after shot. I will hit the sweet spot, make a divot (irons and my wood), and even get that chunk of grass fly in the air like the pros. But, when I get on the course, all that goes away. I thin shots close to the green and chunk shots on the fairways. I can't translate what I do on the range to the course.
  2. Like many here I throw them in teh back and nothing ever is out of place. An option would be a toneau cover. You can lock it and protect it from the elements over a period of days.
  3. I played baseball, but never any good. I collect 1/18 scale diecast cars (100 models or so). And I like photography, too. And both can go hand in hand.
  4. 2008 Dodge Ram 1994 Pontiac Trans Am 1979 Chevy Monte Carlo coming soon... 2006 Pontiac GTO
  5. Talking. I hate when some guy is trying to correct my swing when he is not too many strokes off of my score. Guys who swear they are usually better than they are playing. Any kind of talking on teh box that is not realted to the hole. Dumb jokes. And I hate hearing, "Mulligan" more than once a round. "How many was that?"; I don't know, keep your own damn score. This is with people I get paired up with. My usualy golf buddies, I don't care what they say; I'll talk shit to them wither way.
  6. For me, it is nice to follow the ball in the air. I lose sight of a white ball too often. But if it is a nice clear day, I will use white balls, but if it is overcast I make a switch.
  7. I am currently in the Air Force, over seven years now.
  8. After an uncommon hook off the box, I have a bad shot left. I was 15 yards off the fairway, 150 yards out, and the hole was uphill some 30 feet, on hard pack dirt! I had a low tree in front of me with no view of the top of the hill where the green was. Two bunker in front on the green. While mostly guessing at what to do I hit a high flying 8-iron over the tree and keeping it away from the bunkers. I got it to the fringe on the back of the green and putted from there to save a par. That could have easily been a disasterous hole for me and ended up being the best hole of the round.
  9. Greens are a bit part of what I look for. The next is design/layout. One of my favorite courses is usually in poor condition, but is so much fun to play.
  10. Hello all, Jon here, 26 years old. I have been playing for about a year and a half. I love playing and love the scenery of golf. My game is weak, but it is a ton of fun. What I hope to gain here is some help with my game, but mostly to talk about courses and tournament play. I have been in San Antonio for a few years and glad there are a lot of choices when it comes to golf. There is something for everyone. Looking forward to checking out this site and what it has to offer. Thanks, jon
  11. As a crap golfer it adds a lot of unwanted pressure. I play just short of the green if it is the front, or go long if in the back, avoiding it at all costs.. I have played that hole twice at TPC San Antonio. First time I was going for it and went straight in the bunker. The second I left short and to the right of the green. Chipped on and two putted. I felt that to be the best way to play that hole for me. I just avoided the bulls eye on the green. It is a challenge, but fun. We were looking forward to the hole all day and were happy to play it. I do not think they shold be a staple of golf, but it is fun here and there.
