Ben, the question wasn't who is the ugliest male golfer.

Third Round, David will be playing with Tiger and Furyk, this is a huge test for Duval.

I'm a leftie and althought i may not understand why you righties hit from over there i have ventured over to the dark side, and i hit it bout 100-150 yards, i think the most difficult thing is creating club head speed, but with two weeks of practice i think 100 is reasonable, any single-digit handicapper has a basic understanding of the golf swing and it's easily applied to either side, I wouldn't want to attempt this though, imagine how your normal game would suffer.

Sounds like their going to try out some stuff and work out the bugs for the pga tour's fedex cup, I thought the nationwide tour was the pga tour's farm system, not the lpga.

One word...Wow, I hope he hangs on, and this isn't a flash in the pan, this maybe the bit of confidence he was lacking, and it may be the start up that long road back.

I choose really wide, Not first hole at St.Andrews or anything, but you take driver on all the 4's and 5's, if you miss tho, it's forest so good luck.

Wat is wrong with your clubs!!!! The seem to be backwards, like you might be hitting the ball right-handed , I don't know why you might do that

I think the true question is who is the hottest female golfer??? also golf digest did this a year or so ago, freddie couples won hands down

Tiger Woods book, How I play golf, I think it shows alot of insight into tiger, like how much knowledge he has of the game at such a young age.

Do I have to be parallel at the top?
Leftie_power replied to Maverick's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I May be able to say this because I am 19, and play many other sports, but i get to parellel and sometimes with my driver i can pull back a little farther and get a lil past parellel and get a lil something extra, I think it's all a matter of what works for u, I used to have a quick swing with a strong grip that resulted in many quick blocks, and i have a more neutral grip with my lighter pressure, and i just focus on making a full turn to the top. It was resulted in much more consitent ball-striking. -
I just won my first tournament this summer, and i saved the ball that i played the round with, the markings are kinda worn but i think that makes it more real. I didn't even think bout the scorecard till the assistant pro gave it too me a few days later.

7 years and 4 putters, It sounds respectable, but I played the first 5 years with one, then the 6th year with a different one and Last year i split time between the Ping Doc 15 and an odyssey 2 ball blade dfx. I had been very against even looking at the doc 15, but after two minutes of putting around with it, I was sold. I think the most important part is confidence and sometimes a new putter just gives someone confidence and for other people it's a matter of the ol'faithful. I work as a apprentice in the local pro shop which helps me afford this on a university students budget.

Maverick, that's a sweet putter, and as for the taylormade r5, with the r7 425 I'm excited too see how that looks before buying a r5, what are you swinging now?

Well I'm going to start by overlooking that totally unfunny leftie joke, and move on to Mike, I think the easiest way to see what happened to my fellow left-handed Canadian is too look at the pga tour stats, In driving distance he lost a yard, and he was .4 less fairways, so driving wasnt a huge deal, He was hitting 3.1 less gir which seems like quite a bit, but i dont think it answers the question. The big difference is in his putting stats, where he ranked 21st in putting average in 04' with 1.749 and 173rd this year with 1.806, and he was 61st in putts per round with 28.92 this year, compared with 52nd with 28.75 (I blame this on hitting less greens and still have more putts). I think the numbers speak for themselves, another example look at Chris Riley's putting stats from 03' to 05', he went from a world beater to saving his 06' tour card with a special ryder cup member exemption. And about that leftie comment, Tiger Woods hit his first shots in a mirror imagine of Earl, so he was left-handed, can you imagine the world today if he hadn't stopped mid swing that one fatal day and started hitting from the other side.

Well it's offical, end of the year Money list and there he is, 260th out of 268th offical members. In twenty events this year he only made one cut, and next year's the last year left on his 5 year exemption from winning the british open, anyone think he will get things in order to save his tour card, or will he just sail off into the sunset and outta the picture. Maybe he will end up an announcer, Ian-Baker Duval, has a nice ring to it.

Jason Gore Wins the U.S. Open?

Did anyone read trash talk this week, I love the fact that he mentioned James Lepp as a possible young american star, espically due to the fact he's Canadian,Also I love the way people are argueing that some of these people are in the same class as Sergio, Adam and Luke. When some young Americans step up and challenge in big tournaments,ie.Adam winning the players, Sergio's close calls in majors, Luke finishing T2 and T3 at the players and masters respectively, then we can put this arguement to rest. I'm sure some americans are going to burn me at the steak over this comment, but you gotta expect that from golf fans.

You Guys point out some really good points, I know for me, I got a set of ping i3+ in my hands when i was about a 18 and over a couple years I have got down to a single digit, but it's time for me to move on from the pings, the bigger oversided, very offset makes for a forgving club but not a shotmakers club, so come spring time I will be in the marketing for something with a thiner topline, less forgving, more workable club.I think with all the clubs that are pushing the traditional blade to newer areas..like the titleist 735 cm,cleveland cg2, mizuno mp-32, You can get a very workable club, and get that look you want at address, without having to give up all the forgiviness of blades, maybe in a few years if i get down somewhere near stratch, it'll be time for full blades.

So many companies right now are using these new exotic shafts avaiable for their drivers, You would be insane not to spend the little bit more on the shaft because it's the engine of the club, and it's too often overlooked. I think more people would be better off if they took time to research their shafts and be custom fitted.
