  5. There was a time when I thought I drove the ball 280yds regularly... Then I purchased golf shot and was quickly knocked down a few pegs. My "good" pokes carry around 240-250 and roll out to a monster 265-270! It sounds really cool when you tell people about your 300yd bombs but it is way more gratifying to humbly say "I probably average about 240" and know you aren't exaggerating. That being said, I tend to be the longest or close to the longest in most groups I play in. I do play with some fellas who can truly hit the 300+ drives and they are unmistakable, the sound, the flight and the fact that they disappear from sight until well after my second shot has been played. Bring on the Trackman though, I am intrigued!!

  7. I often play by myself and really enjoy a good Pandora station playing in my headphones, I find it helps a lot with tempo and pace of play for me. The problem I run into is when I get paired with strangers it seems rude to have headphones in so I lose my "security blanket". Long story short, for my game I find it very helpful and calming.
