I would buy a new set if you're game improved. I had a fine set of clevelands, but were cavity backs. My game elevated to high single handicap, and i didn't want big, fat cavity any longer. Bought the AP2's, they're awesome. If you have the money, buy a new set! Like buying a new car!

AP2's....only way to go!! Nick Watney just won with them. The sound and feel coming off them is unlike any other i demo'd a few months ago. I demo'd mizuno's, pings, TM. For me, it wasn't close. Great look from above too....

Im looking for a golf course/destination in the tri-state with a really great practice facility: grass range, chipping, putting. And if you can purchase an "all day pass" for these practice areas? Saratoga National has this, but is 4 hours away. Thanks.

Demo a driver on the course vs. hitting into a net

You get 90% back on that playability program, not a full refund. -

Congrats! Good job -
Lessons! Not just 1 lesson. Consistent, weekly all year long lessons....til you "get it"

1st. Wayyy too much detail in your post. 2nd. Hitting in the 90s? You definitely don't hit the ball correctly. You probably have countless swing flaws. 3rd. You need a lesson (if you ever want to get better).

Carle place Glen Cove. I actually lied. It was a woman pushing me. I said, "you're kidding right, you just tapped me with bracelet on, and shoved me with it off" Whatever.....seems like BS

Make a difference in one's golf game. NO, I'm sure. But I believe it's a Trion bracelet with multiple magnets that he wears. They look stylish. Anyone wear one and notice any difference as far as balance, flexibility, recovery? Or is it just massive hype. I was at goldsmith in LI NY, and a guy working there was pushing "power balance" bracelets i think it's called. He then said "put it on, i'll show you." "gives you incredible balance" he says. I then stood on one foot, and he pushed me without the bracelet ( a rather hard shove)....i fell over a bit. "here put this bracelet on"......he then pushed me again and i stood. Now I'm not an idiot...this bracelet is 40 bucks....he barely pushed me the 2nd time....OF COURSE IM NOT TOPPLING OVER! lol Right there....I said nah to that bracelet, and nah to the Trion Magnet bracelet. SO.....hype or anyone notice anything????

Im looking for one that gives me not only yardage in, but how far i hit the ball. Are there ones like this out there. or do you just point the rangefinder at the ball to find out how far you hit a drive, for example? Can it pick up a golf ball? I played around with a top of the line leupold, and it was lightning quick. Your thoughts?

If you want a "video" or "mirror" or "hit the bag" instructor....they're everywhere. I'll be seeing you on the PGA tour soon right Colin!? Let me know how your physics and geometry work on your swing. bahaha Let us know when you break 100 too.

Well the time the crew has to be fast and quick is on a golf outing; beverages are free, and most of the golfers don't golf and/or just want a good time. Thats when then girls make money! Free beer! Especially if it's a firefighter or similar industry outing! Firemen tip well!!! Lol
-
Lets be real fellas. Your beverage to the average 16,17 year old girl isn't a high priority, especially when a gatorade is 3.50. Their not getting tipped at those prices. And beer is even more ridiculous.

Where is "Norm"? You left out the only relevant part of your thread......??? Norm knows

Why not just call the cart girl? course gives her a phone, course gives you the number? I'm sure your app is cool, but i don't see it taking off. then again, i didn't think apple was a "buy" at 60, so what do i know.

Bottom line is this... this OP is a 2 handicap. Does he want to be scratch or maybe be good enough for local tournaments? I'm assuming he does. I've gone to 2 top 50 Golf Digest pro's on LI, won't mention their names. You've heard of them. They had me doing "twister" with my golf swing. It was ridiculous. Few lessons with each of them, and i was disappointed to say the least. I went to PJ, he kept my solid golf swing that I already had and I LEARNED HOW TO HIT THE BALL. Thats what he teaches. A 2 handicap... doesn't need his swing on video, and told to change grip, elbow here or there- TECHNICAL GARBAGE. Like i said before....if you're a player...you're game will soar. And he has pupils playing right now on nationwide/mini tours. If you want "feel" instruction...he's the guy.

No grass but a great range: nice mats, and the best range balls- not old, soft, filthy ones you find everywhere. They have a short game area, it's small though. You want to play on the grass, with a lesser teacher... that's your choice.
-
So if you have a good grasp of the physics and geometry, you should be hitting it like "the swing machine" right? Tune into golf today, show me 2 swings alike. They all have different swings, but all hit the sweet spot on the face of the club.... everytime!! Cant wait to see you on the PGA tour Colin with your geometrically, technically perfect swing! ---------Clueless

Looking for some of your favorite public courses within 1 hour of NYC. And your reasons why..... Outside of nassau county, Im not abreast to all the nice, challenging courses in the area. So my favorite is Bethpage. Its a beautiful facility, and the 5 courses are extremely well maintained. And obviously they're very challenging courses, which i like.

PJ Cowan, Eisenhower Park, NY. Played professionally nationwide tour 10+ years. Multiple US opens. Held record on Bethpage Black (65) until 2002 US Open. Teaches all players/abilities. No matter your level, your game will improve. But if you can play a little, he will transform your game, and make you a player. He's very much a feel player, and feel teacher. He's not into technical garbage, unless your clearly not holding club correctly or positioning ball, etc. He'll actually show you how to hit the ball....and it will look real simple. He doesn't use props, mirrors, videos. He shows you how to hit the ball properly by repetition. And you will learn to feel and get it. I did. And by next year i should be close to scratch.

I got the pain from practicing a lot. hitting 500-1000 balls at the range when i got back into golf this year from a long layoff. Im dealing with the pain now. Very sore. So i will give it some rest, stretch, ice... and hope it works. My swing is fine, it is the pounding at the range that was the problem- no doubt.
