  1. Amen to that!! Not everyone has 4.5 hrs to play 18 holes.
  2. Hmm I guess it would not hurt to try.
  3. Everyone knows the sound you get when you put your hand under your other armpit and flap your arm like a chicken. It was good for hours of fun when we were little.Well I occasionally produce this same result during my follow-through.I guess my upper arms are being held pretty tight against my body and every now and then a little "Poot" comes from my left armpit. Well anyway a while back ago I'm teeing off on the first hole with some friends and there is about 3 groups waiting behind us.I step up and make my swing and as I am coming into my follow through I here a loud "Poot" like I my pants during my golf swing.I just stand there posed in my follow through like nothing had happened. Then my smart-ass Buddie yells "Hey you need some toilet paper" Everyone thinks I actually farted during my swing and when I tried to explain it was my armpit that was good for another round of laughs. I was sure that sometime later I would walk into the clubhouse and overhear some guy saying " Hey that's the guy who farted off the first tee that we were telling you about!! Yeah tried to blame the whole thing on his armpit Ha ha ha" This embarrassing event did take place and I was wondering if it has happened to anyone else
  4. Yes, I think there are many improvements to be made at a lot of ranges. My local range is the worst!! For starters its downhill so that makes your yardages a bit worthless not to mention that there are no yardage markers to begin with. They have different colored flags with the yardages to each flag posted on a board.Im hitting to the "Black" flags and look at the board to see how far it is.Hmm lets see... there is Red,Yellow,White and Blue flags posted on the board but NO BLACK!!!
  5. Hello everyone, I am the man with a 1000 swings.Well actually its more of a 1000 different ways my swing can feel through the course of a season.I cannot "Hold On" to the way my swing feels for anymore than a couple of days to 3 weeks at most.I start out swinging the club and say I am really feeling the clubhead rotation on the way back and how the club is coming into the slot at the top of my back swing. It feels good and I am able to repeat it and feel it happening.I then head to the driving range and if the feel is still there(sometimes it never makes it to the range before I lose it) I begin hitting balls. This pretty much always goes the same way. After making a few "Tweaks" I hit the ball with good accuracy and consistency. The next day I start swinging again and as always "Something Feels a little different" The club head rotation is not happening the way it was or something else feels "Off" and I'm not hitting the ball as well.So yet again things change and I have to readjust things again.Repeat this over and over a thousand times!! This is a little exaggerated as I do hang on to the same way a swing feels for sometimes up to 3 weeks or so before I lose it.However it can happen as fast as in my example above. I have worked really hard for a long time on setting up to the ball the same way every time as much as possible. This should give me some consistency with how my swing feels but it dose not seem to work that way.I would love to be able to "Lock In" a swing feeling with my setup position but this is not the case. I feel that this holds me back from my potential as a golfer as I am always having to readjust and change things. It is very frustrating to feel a great swing that produces power, accuracy and consistency and shoot in the low 80's only to lose it time and time again. Is this normal for the game of golf? or am I the only "Man with a thousand golf swings"
  6. I was playing in the Fall one year and the hole is a short par 4 that if you hit your drive to far a large cottonwood tree comes into play.I end up about 20 yards in front of a large branch that overhangs the fairway. There is one stupid leaf and I mean just one large leaf hanging from it.I hit my shot at the green and sure enuff right into the middle of this large leaf that wraps around my ball like I had hit it into a towel and drops straight down.I was "Leaf Raped"!!
  7. I could be wrong but I think I get a more powerful kick from a steel shaft in my driver and fairway woods.
  8. I have always wondered about that as well. You get fitted to how you are swinging the club at that time. What happens if you change your swing speed or go to a higher or flatter swing plane?
  9. For me its always the setup and pushing the club with my left shoulder into the "slot" at the top of the back swing.
  10. I fly model rockets as a hobby and was wondering if you know the size of the engines used.If you put 2 aerotech G-80's (A very powerful engine) on your club you could probably drive 350 yards or more!!
  11. Yes I play a whole set of woods 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,and 15 wood.The higher lofted 11,13,and 15 woods are great.
  12. I will have to answer that when I get home from work.I don't remember all of them and will have to look. There are a lot of people that don't know about these clubs and you won't find them at your local pro shop or Wal-mart.I build my own clubs and found them on different component sites. The good thing about components is that there is so many more clubs to choose from rather than the traditional set.Its been a lot of fun for me!!
  13. I'm not sure how I ended up playing with the following clubs but I haven't changed it for about 3 years. Woods 1w,3w,5w,7w,9w,11w,13w,15w, Hybrids #7,#8,#9 Wedges 56,60 Yes I do play a 13 and a 15 wood as well as the short iron hybrids.I did not set out to eliminate all of my irons except for the wedges it just kind of happened and I am very happy with my set. The high lofted fairway woods (11,13,15) are my favorite clubs to hit. Does anyone else play with a lot of woods in their bag?
