IMHO - the answer is yes. I used heel shafted putters in the past and discovered that I've much more accuracy on straight putts when I use C/S - and I think I'm straight-back-straight-through kinda guy. Another thing is - for a heel-shafted putter to be good - it has to be good... as stupid as it sounds - if it's not perfectly weighted (like cameron's for example) - you'll see bigger effect on a off-center hit than the center shafted one. It's kind of like comparing blade iron to a cavity back -that concentration of weight far behind hitting surface allows for more stability on off-center hits.... I don't think I ever go back from C/S.

thanks for the "defense" Erik, but his statement didn't offend me - it pretty much showed his ignorance and lack of intelligence - some people are simply not capable to have a reasonable argument, because they sweat too hard to come up with... well... arguments Besides - I'm not from Jersey ( that's in UK you ignorant butthole ) I LIVE in New Jersey only for last 6 years - and I like it a lot. I grew up in Poland(insert your smartass remarks here) and Germany, so if you think that my environment affects my opinions - it sure is not New Jersey. I don't believe that living somewhere affects point of view on economical issue, like the one discussed in this thread, it's question of common sense and understanding market rules. Of course with your narrow-minded approach to "hate everybody" I don't think you will understand any of this... oh well, at least it makes me feel better Oh - by the way - the civil war is over dude. It's been for a while. You can stop hating the Yanks now. -

you're seriously disturbed young man pmurda... it's B.S. what you say about quality of product made in china and there is a reason TM (and pretty much everybody else) is having their stuff manufactured there. They don't want to listen to you bitching about having to pay $2000 for set of irons. This would be the price tag, if they'd have to pay off governments, unions, insurances and all other lazy bastards who choke the crap out of every business in US. Get real. -
Wow! I think I discovered newest sobriety test tongue twister for our police highway patrol ! Forget counting backwards from 100 - read these names fast
-
dude, you don't have to travel far! You live in Oregon. Brandon Dunes will be soon declared No#1 over Pebble Beach - at least if what I saw on the web and heard from people who played it. Start there
-
don't worry about it, they took the sign down! We were all set to have the pictures taken in a front of it... what a disappointment. I guess too many people were scared off (like you)
-
yeah, you have to use them on courses with huge tee boxes... if rough is near - you might actually use more than 3 per season
-
I know the handicap index should give you an idea, but it's not a perfect system... My avg. score at my home course is 76. My average score anywhere else is more like 80.

Most Expensive Club In Your Bag?
Rafcin replied to st8fan19's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
doesn't have to be... I paid $200 for my driver (demo ) and $240 for my 3W. Putter was under $100 and wedges were $60 each - so I guess in my case it's the V-Steel + Aldila NV65. -
It did for me Maybe better players can adjust their swings to work with it, I don't

I got some new updates after this year 1. Bethpage Black (NY, USA) 2. Old Course St. Andrews (Scotland, UK) 3. Kingsbarns (Scotland, UK) 4. TPC Stadium @ PGA West (CA, USA) 5. TPC Canyons (NV, USA) 6. Reflection Bay (NV, USA) 7. Carnoustie (Scotland, UK) all others are pretty close, nothing that stands out....

I got to hit the cleveland HiBore yesterday and I was impressed. The only problem is really heavy closed setup, so I was drawing/hookin' the begeezes out of it... wonder if they've a "tour" version with square face. Other than that - the 905R is a sweet stick once you match a shaft fitting your swing. I'm more happy with it than my prior 510tp, r7tp or r7 425 I used to have...
-
after a long, long time - finally round under par... 1 under 70 on a 68.7 / 126 course with 5 birdies, 2 bogeys and 1 double. 89% of GIR, 67% FIR, 33 putts. I guess that how 'solid' is spelled
-
you should post it in the Marketplace thread I also got the 'hot pink' with my 510TP head... didn't even make it to the golf course. Right after first driving session it was sent back to eBay. Way too much shaft for my swing speed, that steel tip requires a helluva speed to get the ball airborn
-
don't give up your hopes. At my home course there was a guy, a decent player - around 4hcp, who was playing golf for 37 years (?!?!?) w/o hole in one, until 2005, when he got 2 of them
-
You didn't pick the wrong club (actually - you wouldn't no matter which side the quarter would end up on ). Quite frankly except for improved feedback (mishits "ring" a bit lauder with MB's) - there is very, very little difference between them. I loved the TP's and I switched to MB's only beacuse I landed an incredible steal on eBay - I pulled them for $750 a week after they've been released (in-store pricetags were at $1200 back then). If I hadn't - I'd be happy with tp's as well.
-
I like the other one better, this one only makes me imagine tackling her and tumbling into that bush.... that GREEN bush you see behind her - get your mind out of the gutter
-
no I don't, since I don't care if anybody is convinced I expressed my opinion and (almost) nobody agrees - that's fine with me, it's a free country after all, everybody can think and express whatever they want. I think I made enough arguments and if you still don't see it - you won't see it no matter what I say. Let's just agree to disagree and close down the thread as complete waste of time
-
cool stuff. hit them tight. I'll give you til end of the next season before you switch to the "REAL DEAL" - rac MB TP TMAG is like a drug dealer - you get the forged sample.. just to make you want more
-
and notice - with the full arsenal of smileys there is no "finger smiley".... I think Erik's experience with highschool spoiled brats might have something to do with it

In that case Johnny Miller didn't either : [FONT=Arial] "This is probably on paper the worst Ryder Cup team we've ever fielded," Miller said during the press conference for the Kraft/Nabisco Shoot-Out at Hillcrest Country Club. What Miller said is probably true (as Garcia's statement). The whole issue is - WHY would you say that? Does he expect Lehman to change the lineup? Does he expect people (rookies that he attacked in his interview) to raise their hands and pull out of the team so people that Miller likes could get in? Give me break. This is (and so was Garcia's) absolutelly useless and meaningless interview with only one purpose : attention gathering with not much other to offer. What could he done instead? He could've said "European team is really strong, it will be tough to beat them". Enough. It's not about political correctness, it's about saying something that's constructive (or neutral) vs. something that's a useless fart.

it is.. in a competition I want to see you calling a penalty on your boss when you got invited to a nice private course for a afternoon round

are you really hitting 100 balls on the range? How many times a week are you at the range? I noticed from my own game that range work is my ONLY chance to get steady tempo in my swings. If I don't practice enough that's when the swing gets uneven, various speeds, planes, tempo. The idea of full swing practice is (IMHO) engrave the feel to make a repetition automatic. If it's not automatic - your engraving is not deep enough
