1. I'm up in woodland. I'm 28 and have been playing on and off over the years until recently. Welcome Matt. Where do you usually play at in sac? My favorite is teal bend for the most part. I'm also a member at a club here in Woodland.
2. Well it seems you are spinning the ball quite a bit. The obvious answer is to play to your spin and just hit it further and dont count on any roll. Depending on how far out you are, you could always switch to a lower lofted club and choke down for a nice bump with roll. The higher the trajectory, the more your ball will want to stay where it lands...especially with spin. You could always do what I do and just hit it thin on accident and cuss til you want to throw up. Your choice tho!
3. Hole in one. Just a week and a half ago. 181 yard par 3 at Teal Bend in Sacramento. Used a 6 iron and shot it 18" past the cup...watched that bad boy spin back all the way in. Best iron shot I have ever had. A complete fluke.

Hole in One?

This seems to be reasonable to me.
5. I wonder if Tiger is giving Rory any pointers on how to manage all the "strange" without getting caught and having it blow up. See...Rory can still learn a LOT from Tiger. Imagine the private parties those guys could throw together!
6. Love the game. Wife is hooked too. Crazy stuff!
7. Sheesh. Some of you guys make it sound like you play on an assembly line. It's golf! I smoke my cigar and plan my next shot when I am waiting. Sometimes if I know that I will be held up, I might hit an extra ball or two off the tee. Just depends.
8. Well, since the group is likely playing ahead of you, I would call the Pro shop and tell them I found the club and will hold it until I finish the round...unless they want to come and get it from me. You will never catch the guy in front of you, but this way, if you tell the pro shop right away, they can post a note or let him know should he inquire when he finishes and you are still on 16 or whatever. Other than that, if it's a club I needed, I might just keep it too. Kidding folks...
9.
Agreed...I was thinking about hookers as well. I would love to play Pebble, but I would either be too distracted by the view to enjoy the golf, or vice versa. It would be sensory overload!
10. I kind of go by this for standard lie shots. Specialty shots and higher loft clubs will be placed differently. Generally the higher the loft, the steeper the angle and the further back in the stance. More goes into it than that, but that's the basics of what I was taught.
