  1. Thanks I should say I am looking for the thinner profile of club and I was wrong to say not looking for GIs.
  2. I am looking to get some new clubs this year. This past year I noticed I have regular flex shafts in all my clubs except my hybrid. My swing speed is high enough for stiff shafts. Oops . I am 17 years old and the club pro says I have one of the best swings/ball flight he has ever seen. I am not gloating, I only mention this because I am not looking for GIs or SGIs, I am looking for some good irons for the lower handicap than I am (around 12). I will be getting fit for these irons at a club fitter. I strike the ball well and believe that with some better (fitted) irons it can drastically reduce my handicap with a little work. Thanks for any help!
  3. I am also OCD on the glove in the left and everything else in the right. I have my divot tool, my ball marker, 5 tees (always), and 1 ball in my right pocket.

  5. Personally when playing par 5s is going for the green in 3. I play with many people who try and go for eagle, it never works out for them. I would rather play it safe and par then end up in the hazard, trees or wahtever obstacles are in defending the hole.
  6. That used to be me. All i cared was hitting far because i thought thats what a good golfer was. The number one thing a player needs is accuracy. I've finally figured it out and i can now hit fairways and still outhit most players. Of course i still try and kill the ball on some swings, but i have really cut down the those in a round.
  7. This summer i decided to go play with a friend (who wasn't a serious golfer) and went down to the 9 hole South Portland Municipal Course (in Maine). Greens were small and concrete. The grass on the greens was mixed in with dirt patches. Fairways were mediocre. Although it is a good value for beginners and such, it did not suit my game.
  8. 1.Have a consistent swing 2. Hit more than half of Greens 3. focus on my own game when playing with others
