  1. I'm starting to develop tendonitis in my elbow and shoulders (to much range time over the years). I have gone to a liter "hybrid-graphite" iron shaft (graphite core/steel woven). Are there any other shafts recommendations I should try, so that I might extend my golf life??
  2. It wasn't today, but it was the best score I've ever posted & it happened on my birthday (21 Mar). Go figure...Happy B-day to me!! 34-37 - 71 MAN WAS THAT FUN!!
  3. The course is short-ish, a lot of uneven lies. The place gets a ton of play on the weekend due to lack of public 18-hole courses in the area. Last time I played there (several months) the condition of the greens were a little dinged up. $55 on the weekend with a cart (no walking on weekend allowed).
  4. It's on base (Edwards AFB), so access to the course would be a problem if you don't have the credentials to get on base.
  5. The Base course is a great track & the green fees are the best deals in the area. You won't get the crowds like some of the public courses. During the week after work you feel like it's your own private course. Greens are fast & undulating; fairways not too tight. You should bring an ugly stick (an old 5 or 6 iron), if you get outside the rough line you'll be playing off hard-pan desert floor, which has a way of autographing the sole of you clubs.....not pretty. Work on your wind game also, 10 to 20 isn't uncommon (gusts upwards of 30-40). We do get some amazing calm sunny days as well. Enjoy.
  6. Goals for 2008: improve my GIR's by working on my mechanics and course management drop my PPR consistently under 30 by spending more time on the practice green improve my consistency when the pressures on, by focusing on the task instead of the possible results (committing to a shot) my index should drop with these improvements
  7. I am really intrigued with Aerotech golf shafts I have heard about. Steel thread woven around a graphite core. Any feedback from anyone???
  8. So, what your saying is that if you play blades you can't go low (unless your Tiger)? It's not about cool, its about confidence, feel, performance. That's what I get from my sticks. JMO
  9. Just thought of another option some people have gone to. Split the set, long irons (i.e. 3 & 4/5) in cavity and mid/scoring irons (5/6-pw) in blades.
  10. I play the MP-67's as well and truly love the look and feel, but also have GIR issues sometimes. I have been looking into reshafting (from DG S300 to Project X). Whatever you do, get fitted and try as many demos as you can get your hands on. Good luck and hit 'em well.
  11. My club is in the middle of the first round of team play. While playing yesterday, I chipped in from @ 20ft to save par and keep the momentum of my match. I closed him out 5 and 4.
  12. I like to think that my tempo is like Ernie Els. But, I can't see it
  13. I am using the TM Superquad 9.5 with the standard fujikura shaft but extended 1 inch. I really love the way this club performs; flight, distance, forgiveness.
  14. My home course is Muroc Lake Golf Course, a military golf course. No pics or views of it are on the website. http://www.edwardsservices.com/golf.html . It is a very well maintained desert course.
  15. I work as a electronic technician. It has paid my bills as well as allows my golf habit
