Golfers Warehouse in Orange? I live in CT too (Guilford) - I'm not going to tell you too much, I've only been playing for 6 years myself. I think you made the right choice with the 56/60 wedges. Just choke up on the 50 for shots in between. As for the "macdaddy" grooves, I've wondered the same thing and makes me stay away from those. Enjoy the new gear, always fun to get new toys

do I use if my hands get very sweaty in the summer? i have two gloves in the summer, one for the front nine and one for the back nine - by the 7th hole my glove soaked... i have basic golf pride rubber grips that slip like crazy right now

i was in heaven - hardly anyone on the course, though it was way colder than I thought. I played well, shot an 85 , I've never broken 90. However, definite asterisk next to that - the course was under repair so the only tee-boxes open were the women's tees. The course I played was short to begin with, so it was like cheating. Still great to get out there, and a change to my short game looks like it will really help my scores. I was sinking putts from all over - crazy.

That must be frustrating - I don't know that area that well (relatively new to the area), but I know there is Elmridge golf course off of Exit 92 and Pequot Golf Club off of exit 91 on Rte 95. I have no idea how it is though. There is a serious shortage of 18 hole courses where I am in New Haven County - there's a million crappy 9 hole par 3's though...

I have been playing for about 6 years, but never really done a golf vacation. I keep trying to talk one up, but my buddies are ****ing lazy and unorganized. So what is the best way to figure out where to go? I'm in the Northeast, so NC or SC is the most convenient. Is there a site that you'd recommend going through or a process that works to figure out where I want to be.

Thanks for the reply Wisco Kid - glad to find a place like this during the winter. The weather here is awful, but was able to play on Florida a couple times when I was down there recently. I tend to shoot more towards the mid 90's so I guess that # will rise
