Yea, I don't really see that happening - she enjoys the game, but does not take it that seriously. With the kids she gets out even less, but still needs to update (clubs are @15 years old)
Thanks for the response though, appreciate it
I want to get my wife new clubs (she needs new ones badly) - do you guys have any suggestions?
She is tall (5' 8'') and likes clubs that are a bit heavier - either steel shaft or men's senior clubs - she feels like the ladies graphite shafts fly all over the place on her.
She wants try out lots of clubs, but would definitely prefer a more substantial club.
Thanks for any suggestions
I rented a set of Cobra's at my father in laws club and, while only playing 9 holes, I shot a 40 with them - easily my best. I believe it was a F speed, the irons were FP's.
Cobra makes good clubs, imo - love the baffler hybrid
I use Nxt and Nxt tours and very happy with those
I recently found a maxfli noodle and played with it for the rest of the round, and really like it - so those are my "economy" balls now
Good heads up - I have found one seller that I like on ebay - have used him to buy a couple of clubs as well as one for my wife - think thats the way to go, find a couple of real stores that put stuff up for bid, and stick with those.
I would go w/ Taylor Made - almost soley based on the R7 460 - I absolutely love that club - the confidence I have when I set up with this club makes all the difference for me. I also love the Rosa Putter - I've heard mixed reviews on the irons though...
That's how everyone starts their intro thread, right?
I have been playing golf for 6 years and absolutely love it, I can never get enough - I am missing it right now and was looking for a place just like this.
I have put a 21 hcap, but I have actually never monitored it - that is just a guess - I generally shoot mid to high 90's. I will be keeping track of my scores this season for the 1st time.
Cheers
Wow, Berman claims to be an 18 hcp?? There's no way he's 18 - he has an awful swing and reminds me of when I first started playing and would just hack away, swing as hard and fast as I could only to hit a 75 yard grounder.
I don't mind it, don't pay too much attention to it
I agree with the previous post, in re to playing more tourneys at pebble - that's what heaven looks like, imo
