  1. I searched the forum and couldnt find my answer so i thought i would start a new thread. Sorry if this has been beat to death. What is every ones opinion about where to place the ball in your stance with a 3 wood. Is it the same for off the deck vs off the tee box? Do you use the same swing? Ive been playing for a few years now and have really shyed away from playing with any sort of fairway wood if i could help it. But as the other aspects of my game improve i would like to work on things that im not as good at. any advice would be great thanks
  2. sold sorry.
  3. Ping G15 15.5* 3 wood. RH, Regular flex. Used only a few times. In almost perfect condition. Comes with head cover.
  4. Used Taylormade R11 driver. Regular Flex 9*. Over all good condition. Comes with head cover. I lost the tool though, its just a normal torx bit though, or you can buy at any local golf shop. $200 shipped to the lower 48. Paypal works best.
  5. Set of Ping Eye 2's 2i-W. Red Dot, regular flex. Matching serial numbers. Good condition, new Golf Pride grips on 5-W. Wear on clubs pictured are indicative to the set. $175 shipped to any of the lower 48. Paypal works best
  6. I understand hybrids about as much as i understand women. Ive never been able to hit them. Its my understanding that theyre supposed to be easier to hit than an iron. Says who? And what is the ball flight supposed to be like? I went to the range yesterday and hit about 100 balls with my 21* hybrid and the balls were all over the place. I was also getting more accurate and better distance with a 5 iron. Any tips on how to play these, or should I just scrap em?
  7. yeah i just figured that he should get a set with a good core set of irons and then he can slowly start replacing the woods as he sees fit.
  8. Do you use just old shag balls when your pracitcing putting? Or would it be wise to use the balls i would play a round with?
  9. A friend of mine wants to start golf and wont take my advice on buying a used set of clubs. Has anybody heard much about the cleveland launcher set? I looked at it the other day the irons look ok but the drivers look like S. Has anybody played with em?
  10. thats one of the funnier things ive read today.
  11. I love how the mp series looks but im not good enough to hit them so i bought a set of mx19s last year... I may have well as been playing with rocks tied to sticks. They were terrible. If you were in the fair way you were ok but if the grass was longer than 1/2 inch you may has well used your putter.
  12. Nickedent makes some game improvement irons for cheap. I dont know if theyre good or not. Or anything about them really. But as previously stated, get on ebay and get and old set of eye 2's
  13. here is a question though.... Should you use one grip for all clubs. I do vardon when i drive(I can shape better). 10 finger when i chip and putt. Would i be more consistent if I used the same one for everything?
  14. With irons I used vardon for years... This year i switched to interlocking and it seems to help me keep my swing in plane. But that may also be that i learned how to focus on my plane in a new way that helps me strike better. I dont take a divot anymore but am getting better distances and more consistent ball flight
  15. Thanks for the help and thanks for getting my Happy Gilmore reference.
  16. my practice swing is more part of my pre shot routine. It keeps me slow. If im not paying 100% attention i will mess up every shot.
  17. So this year i switched from a vardon overlap grip to an interlocking. I seem to hit a lot more pure with it. But ive started getting blisters on my left index and right ring finger. Even through the glove. Do i need to build a callous or am i doing it wrong?
  18. I get pretty crazy about how my clubs are positioned in my bag so i would be hard pressed to lose one... But i like the idea of the loft and my yardages with them... at least while im getting used to these new irons...
  19. You should check out the new callaway Diablo... My friend just bought one and im slightly jealous that i got the R9 instead. I was hitting consistent 290 yard carrys and could shape it pretty well.. I can shape shots better with the taylormade but i lose maybe 25-30 yards of distance. But my playing level i would rather have the distance. Maybe next year i can learn shot shaping a little better.
  20. Thats how all of ebay works. They would assume keep it than sell it for .99 cents
  21. So is there a benifit to playing with a graphite hybrid as apposed to a steel shafted one. Ive never played a steel shafted hybrid but i would think i could get a better swing plane with one... Any thoughts?
  22. I think between this year and last year ive tried every type of club. I started with some Cleveland TA3's, went to taylormade r7s, went to titleist 775s, then to snake eyes 600b's, Mizuno MP57's, Mizuno MX25s. Then i got some Ping i10's last week and theyre freaking awesome... I dont think ill ever look back... I think if i was good enough to play blades efficiently i would get titleist just because i love the look of blades. But if it was between the ap2 and i10 i would go with the pings everytime.
  23. So ive been playing with the Cleveland 588 reg. wedges.. I need to buy a couple new ones, my 56 is too worn and i need less loft than a 53... So decided it would be cheaper to just buy a new set of 52, 56, 60 set. Cause they all have to match of course. What does everybody suggest?
  24. I played with a sleeve of the NXT's yesterday and really liked them. I wanna try the bridgestone E6 or the 330rx
  25. Ping i10's! holy cow i got these this week and theyre freaking awesome. best irons ive ever owned. Ive probably played every brand and model of iron this year and I'm forever sold on pings. I did have a toss up between the i10's S58's but my club pro said i should go with the i10's and if i didnt like them go with the others. Im really big on how clubs look at address and they both look awesome and feel great. I really cannot do these clubs justice with words. Pings or bust... for real.
