  1. i love my Fourteen v4's. they are a little pricey though. I have mine w/ nippon shafts.
  2. Hey guys, I was looking at some pics at pros on the range and seem like they carry two plastic looking shafts that help w/ allignment and swing plane. Any idea where i can get these? I don't have any blank shafts lying around that could probably also be used. thanks!!
  3. I know it may be a long shot, but anyone here hit these two drivers back to back? I'm really curious to hear your thoughts on difference in feel, ball flight, and distance. I've read pretty much every article, but looking for some real world testimony here. I've even spoken to a titleist rep and he recommended the D3 to me. thanks guys.
  4. I love playing golf, but its very stressful to me. I don't really play just for fun. I'm always looking to play my best and shoot the lowest scores possible. Slow play really kills it for me. Sometimes I feel like just walking off the course and only playing on weekdays when courses are much less crowded.
  5. please get me a free D3 while you are at it. :)
  6. wow, that was very informative. the two reps interviewed really know their stuff. I think the D3 would be right for me. Now I just need to decide which shaft is right for me. I just spent almost $200 for a Tour AD throttle shaft on my 907 D2. I guess I'll just keep this for back up.
  7. i understand, but being pleasing to the eye is more important to me than distance. I think i pretty much have all the distance I'm ever going to get. Not that it matters, but are most tour guys playing the d2???
  8. any large golf chains have launch monitors? also, what do they charge for a quick session? I live in orange county cali, btw. thanks
  9. Wow, I didn't know that about the D3. With a solid 4 index do i fall within that 10-20%? :) Also, i've never been on a launch monitor yet so i'm not sure i hit the ball high or with a lot of backspin or both. I just know that my ball is going at least twice as high as guys i'm playing with. Normally, i'm right out there with them in terms of distance though. If i could get a lower boring ball flight, i'm also hoping to get a little run too.
  10. yes, if you play a soft blade like I do, mats will definitly throw off lie, loft, etc over time. I think even pro's who mainly practice off grass, get their specs checked out once or twice a month.
  11. jacas, i'm surprised you wouldn't be playing the D3. i wanted a D2 also until i set up to it. Looks too much like a TM burner to me. I could be the only one. ps. i currently play a 907 D2 9.5*. I hit it super high. Am I better off getting a 7.5* D3 or getting a higher kick point shaft to give me a lower ball flight? I'm worried if i get a lower loft if it will accentuate side spin? thanks
  12. I hit the D3 last night into a net. felt solid and i like the look a lot better than the d2. Not sure if i'm ready to drop $350 on a driver that will probably not get me a lot more distance than my current 907 D2.
  13. i hear the knee is still healing. also, his wife is pregnant w/ another kid??
  14. im particulary interested in the D2. did they have the hybrid there?
  15. ouch. advice taken
  16. what? thanks for shattering all my hopes and dreams. i planned on buying one and going for my tour card next year.
  17. just fyi, my local shop called and said he got his first shipment of 909's. I hope he lets me demo one!!
  18. same here. i'm much more consistent and comfortable w/ the driver. i have tried 5+ fairway woods and could not hit them to save my life. I recently bought an adams idea pro hybrid 16*. The face is super hot. i can hit it about 240 off the tee. Just trying to dial it in still since its my first real hybrid. I've always thought a 3 wood should be my go to money club when i need it straight, but this just has not been the case for me.
  19. I found a great pro who also instructed a lot of mini tour guys. I used to drive about 2 hrs to palm springs to see him. His name is craig chapman. I liked him because he tried best to work with my swing instead of trying to re-create the wheel. My primary flaw was posture. I don't see him anymore primarily due to cost. I just can't afford lessons. Not only that, but i only get to play once or twice a month so to me lessons are worthless. Like everyone above says, you really just need to find the right instructor. Its also great to just have a friend watch your swing who actually has knowledge of good swing mechanics. I plan to start taping my swing specifically for this reason.
  20. in that case, how do i increase my rep? :)
  21. so i can start selling things? thanks
  22. damn, i wish i knew about this contest. i would have at least entered and prayed.
  23. wow, that was awesome. he's also very well spoken for such a young kid. being a korean american myself, I can totally relate to him. if i only had a 1/10th of the game he did tho. :(
  24. How do you like them so far. I have one of those old ping hoofer, but now that I play almost all Titty stuff, I really want one of their stand bags. I like walking so the the lighter the better. Something that I also like about Titty bags are the cool colors they offer. thanks!!
  25. try the graphite design Tour AD throttle shaft. Its a little pricey, but i love it on the 907
