  2. Way to go! Congrats!!
  3. Today I've finished the negotiations with the investers: I'm starting my own company! Can't say much about it yet as I'm wandering into a seemingly untouched market.
  4. I don't :) I am considered a long hitter, but it's nothing compared to what people are posting here ;) (I hit my 4wood about 240 meters)
  5. Can't change it, isn't me. I'm a quite average looking Caucasian guy without a green thumb ;) (And I can't seem to edit my post)
  6. I visit this site on my tablet, can't even see avatars. I haven't set this one for sure :D I'll check if I can see it and maybe change it to something more personal ;)
  7. I used to be very happy with FJ myself, but the latest addition (Project M) lost a cleat after maybe 5 rounds of playing. What's up with that! Never ever lost a cleat before!
  8. I drive a Mini, so I'd say my drive isn't that big :)
  9. This Monday I played on a par71 course, from the white tees with a CR of 129. So why post in this thread? Well the people I played with said they played a 16 and 21 handicap: they did not.. I counted about 5 OB balls on the gentleman, another 3-4 mulligans and any ball within about two feet of the pin wasn't counted anymore. He said he played 32 stablefords. I think he played about 105 shots, not including penalties. The woman was good from the tees, but not that good on the fairway. In all honesty she could have played about a 25-26 handicap, better then he did. Annoying part is that they where constantly pushing me to play faster. After the fourth hole I 'cocooned' myself: played my own game, tried not to interfere with them other then complementing them on good balls and good putts... On the tenth I lost it though, my hands where sweaty as hell and after all their pushing I decided not to wipe my hands and grip. Result: I simply lost my club in the swing.. It flww out of my hands just after I hit the ball.. I came off the par3 with a triple, didn't like it either but I wasn't going to give myself a mulligan. ;)
  10. A new towel and a dozen balls: TaylorMade BRZ Urethane. The covers of those balls aren't very good, one in three shows cracks after a good hit.. I'm going to send them back :(
  11. First question that comes to mind: why cock the hands before the take away? Look at the way Rory takes away or Tiger or whomever you like. Study it, mimic it, video yourself, study it, compare it, mimic better. Certainly helped me in my take away, I'm coming through the ball better, almost no pushes to the right anymore. :) And you're trying to hit it so damn hard, could you show us about a 75-80% swing in speed? One that feels relaxed and one that feels on the slow side maybe?
  12. Equipment is very expensive here. Example: Pro V1 balls.. Cheapest I've found is about €52/dozen (new) that's just over $67 Another example: Clic gear 3.0 cart €189 or $245 Taylormade R1 with stock shaft and grip: €349 and that's $452 I'm in the market for a new driver, looking at a Titliest 913D3 with a custom shaft (not all too exotic), will set me back about €500 at least, that's $650 without doing anything exotic. I'm thinking of paying for a fitting so I don't have to buy the equipment, I can save hundreds of dollars on the driver, shaft for the wood and the hybrids alone.
  13. I use the TM RBZ' Urethane's whenever I feel less confident about my swing. Pro V1's when it's going the way I want to. Our greens are slow and hard, so it's imperative to be able to stop the ball. Also: I gladly lose 10% distance for the nice smooth feel of these softer balls if it makes them stop on the greens :)
  14. I eat on the course, have trained myself to eat small bites every 20 minutes. I drink water mostly, but take a banana/pineapple smoothie with me and start drinking that at the tenth hole. It's low calorie, but high on fruit sugars. Other then that I drink water, maybe about a liter. This is not taking me out of the game, but keeping me focused. There's people I play with that don't eat and I see them scoring worse in the last six holes. The eaters tend to keep their scores more or less equal once the last 6 holes arrive. Also: we all walk, you don't see many players using carts here.
  15. If you read correctly.. I bought those brand spanking new and had them fitted, somewhere 12-13 years back too. Don't remember the exact shaft in the driver (I'm thinking an Aldila), club is in the car and I'm inside :P
