  1. You're a lucky man to have a partner that not only allows you to indulge in the game of golf, but also enjoys it herself. My wife will occasionally go to the range with me that's about it.
  2. You could try downloading K-Lite Codec Pack and installing Media Player Classic, it's a shot in the dark, but it may work. http://www.free-codecs.com/download_...p?d=5641&s;=775
  3. If you go to a professional and get fit for the correct driver, then yes it could very well make a big change.
  4. This Saints team is an absolute blast to watch for any football fan.
  5. I've heard nothing but great things about Callaway's customer service. I'm gonna look really hard at Callaway for future club purchases.
  6. Awesome Tux. At least you had the balls to wear something completely different.
  7. I'm going to disagree with buying a complete set of cheaply made clubs. I would suggest going with what you were originally planning on doing and buying a used set of irons. You could then pick up a 3 wood, you won't really need a driver when you're first starting out. Pick up a couple of wedges and a putter and you're good to go.
  8. If you're playing against them in a tournament situation or for money, then definitely speak up. Otherwise, they're only cheating themselves and to me honors on the tee doesn't really mean all that much.
  9. Yeah, he's Irish. Also, I think he's legit. From the interviews I've seen and read, he seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Hopefully he'll stay grounded and contend for some majors.
  10. I would choose the irons, if I were in your place. You are already questioning the membership's worth, plus the Hogan's "just aren't doing it for you". If you're having a mental block with the equipment, you probably won't play to your full ability with that equipment.
  11. I've played Eagle Ridge a few times. If it's dry, it can be an extremely difficult layout. I'm sure you've already played it though, by the time I've replied. I would also recommend Stone Crest in nearby Prestonsburg. I haven't played it, but my in-laws swear it's one of the nicest courses they've played and they play all over the country.
  12. That would imply that I ever had one.
  13. I'm in WV. We've had a few days that I could've been out already this year, but I've had other things going on.
  14. I finally got to get out to the course today. Played at a course I haven't played before. The round started off great with a Par on an average length par 5. After that it kind of just went to hell. I'm hooking everything with my driver, but they're still finding the fairway about half the time, just no where near the length I'm used to getting. Short game was horrible as well.
  15. I for one will. I guess I'm not your "typical" golfer in that way. I think there is room for all types of people in this sport. You probably wouldn't want a Boo Weekley type at your course either, I suppose.
  16. It's attitudes like this that keep a lot of people away from the game.
  17. If you look on that page at the ad, it says they are from 2006.
  18. The R9 TP has 9 different shafts, so there should be an option for most golfers.
  19. Looking forward to the next one getting back to a normal format, no more of the team crap.
  20. Great commercial. I love the instant look of depression when Tiger walks in.
  21. My job requires that I have short hair and no facial hair beyond a mustache, it doesn't bother me, I knew going in that those were the requirements. That said, long hair and beards don't bother me either. The fact is that if the employer wants it and you want to be employed by said employer, you'll do it.
  22. Thanks. I like the Cleveland a lot most of the time. The face is pretty closed at address as you can see. Most of my misses with it tend to be hooks. I'll check out your other thread and reply there about the hybrids if I can provide any input that may be helpful.
  23. My clubs for 2009.
  24. Callaway does the camo bag with the proceeds going to the troops. It's the newer digital camo. Cleveland did a camo bag in honor of their own camo wearing staff player Boo Weekely. Here is Callaways stand bag though. http://www.3balls.com/product-produc...6-closeout-new
  25. +1 My ball of choice.
