  1. We always play 2 balls off of the first tee......I'm sure if you were in a tournament it would be wrong. But every casual round I play, it's always 2 off the tee on hole 1.
  2. All I have to say is that I recently purchased a nike sasquatch...it's the rounded head. It's a 9.5*, stiff shaft. It's amazing...out of 18 holes yesterday, i missed 2 fairways. I don't see a big difference in length (yardage) but I do definately notice a change in accuracy. I used to hit a Taylormade R580, same loft, stiff shaft. I thought I loved it, but wow...Now that I think about it, I could only unleash when I was having a really good driving day. Otherwise it's slice city. With the sasquatch, I feel like I can swing as hard as I want and not worry about slicing....maybe just overdriving the fairway on a dogleg . all in all, the driver is a beast, I highly recommend it.
  3. Shot a 91 yesterday.....it's an improvement. Since I've been playing consistently I've been all over in the 90's. Every time I play, something is off, whether it be irons or chipping, something ruin's my round. I can say this much though....no more 90's...I'm getting my head together and putting all this crap behind me.
  4. Tiger is absolutely the man. I think people should strive to play at his level. And no, he doesn't always win (rarely ) but that just means when someone else does, it's that much more special.
  5. My brother and his friend went to an old golf course that closed a few months ago and raided one of the par 3 ponds. They came back with 4 dozen golf balls. Do golf balls get waterlogged or anything from being in the water? The course closed at the end of last year. So they have at least been in there for 4 months or longer.
  6. Now I'm talking about the actual grip on the putter, not your grip with your hands. I've heard rumors that fatter putter grips have a better feel. Has anyone had any experience with this? I'm looking to shave off some strokes
  7. What I've started doing lately is only taking my irons back about 3/4 of a full swing but then putting a little power behind them on the downswing. It's helping me hit more solid and keeping my same distance.

  9. I know exactly what you mean!! I've been struggling lately also. I quit playing consistently for about 6 months about a year ago. I used to consistently shoot in the mid 80's. Now I'm struggling to break 100! Irons are my biggest weakness. One think I've noticed is that I'll start to pick up really bad habits not even realizing it. For one thing, I stand to far away from the ball and that causes me to blade it off to the right. It's pretty embarassing. So for one thing, I would get someone to watch your swing or video yourself hitting to make sure you're not slipping back to day 1 on the golf course.
  10. I read most of Rotella's book. It really does give you a good insight on how to think about your shots to keep your swing consistent. My problem is that the moment I made a good shot or put (or even birdie a hole), I start telling myself not to screw up a good thing and where do you think that gets me? Yea, it gets me 10 over on the front nine....
