  1. Yep I got mine and absolutely love it. You will not be disappointed. I love the heavier feel to it and have the 33" as well.
  2. I spent $289 on my SC. I figure since almost half my shots on a course are with my putter, might as well get a nice one because I'll definitely get my money's worth.
  3. I always try to make sure I swing down on the ball and make contact with the ball on my downswing. I would try to put the ball back in your stance further because it sounds like you are making contact with the ball on your upswing. I'm sure more knowledgable people out there might have some better advice but this is what works for me.
  4. Drink some pepto bismol...
  5. I find that I putt better when I line the label or the seam up to where it is parallel to my putter head. I feel I have more room to "miss" and don't have to roll it so perfectly to make a putt. If I line the arrow up on the pro v1's, it seems like I have no margin for error as well as not being able to line it up correctly. Not sure if that made any sense but the bottom line is that I prefer to line the label up vertically from when I am standing over the putt.
  6. I enjoy the 4 hole playoff at the BRITISH Open, but am not opposed to all majors being 18 hole playoffs. Sudden death is fine for regular events.
  7. I am a staff accountant for an IT distributor.
  8. That's why I always take the club I want to hit and then club up to make sure I get it there. It usually makes me slow down my swing so I don't get too quick with it and crushes the ball the right distance. Direction is a different story, lol.
  9. QFT! These are great.
  10. I definitely agree with keeping your left wrist in the same position and not scooping. I try to keep my wrists firm and swing through the ball and not at the ball. Don't decelerate either and be sure to follow through. If I am right next to the green I like using the 8 iron as well. You don't have to worry about hitting under the ball and chilly dipping it as it usually (for me) gets a good trajectory and good roll.
  11. Just wondering if anybody could answer my question? Thanks.
  12. If I nut my 3 iron I can do it but I have trouble hitting it consistently. My 24 degree 585h gets the job done nowadays for the 200 yard shot. It goes very high and straight for me as well.
  13. Just get a croquet mallet :) I just got a Newport 2 Studio Select about a month ago and love it. I know it's not what you are looking for but I thought I'd just throw that out there.
  14. For the past 7 or so years I have been playing with Titleist 981's with regular flex steel shaft. My dad just gave me his set of 755's so I just put them in my bag but haven't hit them yet. They look very similar to me so hopefully it will be a smooth transition.
  15. I've got a 33" Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Studio Select. That thing is so money. It has such a nice, heavy feel to it and creates such a nice roll. I've never splurged on a putter before, but it was well worth it.
  16. We have tons of upper echelon nice public/semi private courses here in northern VA and I'd say most of them, if not all, say no to jeans and t-shirts. Just wear a collared shirt and non denim pants/shorts and you are fine. Shouldn't be that big of a deal to do that. You don't even have to tuck it in, just look presentable.
  17. I buy from that guy on ebay and the quality is very good. The prices have gone way up on the used AAAA mint balls from March until now, but you are still getting perfectly "new" used balls at ~$24 a dozen. I don't mind a few labels here and there.
  18. I just wear my cargo shorts, a polo shirt not tucked in, and my Titleist dryfit hat. I haven't been given a hard time yet about the shorts so they are permanently on my personal dress code.
  19. I just had a set of these given to me...a driver, 3w, 5w, and a hybrid. If I hit a natural fade with a "normal" wood, would setting the weights up for a draw make the ball go straighter for me? I am more outside to inside with my powerfade/slice so I just aim my woods left and let it do work.
