  1. All the conjecture etc. is interesting...but most golfers are interested in results and no matter where the different aspects of the Stack and Tilt came from ...it works!...and is far easier to have a repeatable swing using it than the ..so called 'modern' swing and the consistent solid/compressed contact is addictive. Flaws are simply relative to the viewers frame of reference(swing philosophy). If the swing produces good results and easily......allot of golfers are going to check it out....and that's just what's happening right now.
  2. I tried this swing after seeing a 2 minute piece on Charlie Wi's swing on last weeks PGA event broadcast...The first 25 balls I hit at the driving range were with the 'stack and tilt' were as good, if not better, than I've ever hit....highly compressed etc. This swing makes the ball a stationary target....very easy to strike the ball well and it is very easy to repeat your swing ! That's the beauty of it.... Give it a try ..... it works !
  3. I use both the 3 and 5 new Burner fairway woods. Here is what I noticed hitting of the ground....they really go a long way and they really do an amazing job of in flight corrections off of toe hits etc. ....I couldn't believe how long and straight some of shots were with such poor ball striking ....I had to look twice ... it was a little like the 'twilight zone' .
  4. The two mid-priced balls that I like the best in no particular order are: e5+ : good distance, soft feel and pretty high spin rate Taylormade burner TP: same as above but not quite as soft but a little more durable. Ty
  5. Let's see ... I have six. circa 1984 forged Wilson Staff Goosenecks (one of my favorites) circa 2000 Top Flite tour grind Ping S59 circa 2006 Tommy Armour forged muscle backs (quite a bargain) circa 2006 Tommy Armour forged cavity backs (quite a bargain) Mizuno MP-32...The best for my swing ! The Ping S59's (in really great condition) will be up for sale ... if anyone is interested. White dot, +1/2", stiff flex Ty
  6. These are my three favorites: Old school: circa 1984 forged Wilson Staff Goosenecks. Best for the price: Tommy Armour forged musclebacks circa 2006 ... can still get new for about $200 ... great buy! just change the grips. Current and favorites: Mizuno MP-32 ... best feel and very consistent ball flight Ty
  7. For $25 and under....I like and play the e5+ and the burner TP....
  8. For $25 and under I like both the e5+, nice spin, feel and length...a good all arounder for the money and I also like the burner tp ...it's the same price also varliy soft, long and not quite as much spin as the e5+ .
  9. I switch back and forth between... Ping s59's and forged Wilson Staff Goosenecks (circa 1984)... I hit the forged goosenecks about 10 yds further per club...and with more elevation. I hit both with a slight draw...with my normal swing. I can shape the shots with either... Ty
  10. I just bought a set of these as my number 2 irons.... They give you nice feed back on off hits...and you can shape your shots pretty easy with them. They are about 10 yards shorter than ... my number 1 irons which are ...circa 1984 Wilson staff Goosenecks... which are a forged club. Ty
  11. I have tried allot of drivers but I always come back to my 'John Daly special'.....a Wilson Invex.... it's good for about 285 with a nice smooth swing....and the ball get's up quick and .... out! Ty
  12. I adhere to the dress code of the course....but I am most comfortable in jeans and a golf shirt....I play better when I feel at ease.... Golf has its traditions but.....as a non-pro....golf is a personal game to me.... Ty
  13. I started playing before hybrid clubs were around....and have never been attracted to them. If I am hitting a shot that is at the long end of my 3I and am not striking the ball well that day.... I will take out a 5W an choke down just a little bit... Ty
  14. I am a systems analyst/programmer for a large financial company... For fun I write horse race handicapping software (works good enough to make a living).... Ty
