Since i work nights it gives me the opportunity to go out on the weekdays. And everyone is a senior citizen. I dont think they mind me tagging along at all. I know a few pretty well now. Who knows, maybe one day i'll get a mysterious call from a lawyer saying i got some free money. Or maybe even just some free really old golf clubs.

Championship was closed for an outing. Played the Executive Par 3. Had a rusty start off the tee. Par is 54. I shot a 66. Last 4 holes were best. Par, Chip in Par (a first!) Bogie, Birdie. Beutiful day. But when i say rusty at first, i mean it. I always need three or four holes to get into a grove...... that needs to be fixed. I spent an hour at the putting green before going out. Really helped. That was my plan for the week. JUST PUTTING GREENS. But when you have the bug, you have to out and play.

lol, i stink. Hello. Name is Scott. Mid. wait late 20's male from upstate New York. About me? Worked at a private club as a teenager. Cady, Bag Room attendant, cart person. It was a fun experience. Got to play on Mondays. Free tips from pros and even some good deals on equipment. Some stuff just given to me. After that i didnt play golf much. Went to the range here and there. The local Par 3 course i can find to have some fun with friends. Right now i work in a fairly nice restaurant. My boss's are big into golf. They "know people" and get to play at the nice places, often. A coworker of mine recently went to a golf outing and got lessons from some pro's (women). The bug bit them. Was asked if i wanted to go to the range. Did and i guess it was like riding a bike. A few days later i upgraded my irons. In the past month ive made it out to the course 9 times. I play at Rockland Lake Golf Course. The Par 3 Executive course the most but thats changing. No confidence in my woods. That and putting are things i really need to work on. Other than that im just having fun with my new addiction. CYA!

I went out solo today and thought about it. But didnt have my headhphones with me. Runing the cord up my shirt wouldnt hinder my swing. I would think? Maybe next time.

I have "The Turtle" by Callaway I got it for free when i worked at golf course. Im thinking about selling it and getting something more traditional.

At this point in the game. I lay up with my trusty 5 iron. I need to work on the 4 and 3. And maybe invest in one of those fancy hybrids.

Right now im a waiter...... I return to culinary/resturant management school this fall. My long term plan is Hotels. Or maybe even a really nice Golf Resort!

I'll just piggyback on this thread. I got my first (that i bought) set a few weeks ago. Ping G5's. The old Callaways i got for free are now retired. I LOVE GOLF!

A yellow Ping Stand Bag i was given some 10 years ago when i worked at a golf course. It still looks brand new.
