  1. I was happy either way the outcome would of been, I was surpised with it though. The only thing is, why can't they make the finals a 2 hour special? I'd rather have seen more of the golf than skipping through much of the holes. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt the Golf Channel to drop one hour of infomercials.
  2. 2 in one year, congratulations, I also am jealous. I've never had a hole in one, although I came within 2 feet of one this year.
  3. Well, we always need a heel, someone to root against, right? Looks like its going to be David. That was pretty crass of him, what he said about Rachel. I don't think he made a bad decision in picking Rachel/Otis, but to me, the biggest advantage was David over Otis, in fact, I'd rather of had Rachel than Sally as my partner. Until the approach Sally hit on the playoff hole, she hadn't shown anything resembling a 'competitive golf' game. Otis turned out to make the biggest blunders, not just on his putts, but after Rachel hit that great shot that stopped just a few feet from the pin. I know he was trying to pump her up and give her confidence, but you don't tell someone something that's going to make them emotional, putting is when you need the nerves of steel the most. Sometimes its just best to shut up and not say anything than to say too much. Even though they didn't win the Immunity challenge, Haymes impressed me the most with his shot, especially the glass shot, everybody before him was just trying to blast a stinger shot, and he realized that you didn't need to hit the glass that hard to break it, you just had to hit it, although the shot that Robby hit was awesome. He hit it through the glass twice on that shot, the replay was just, wow. I wish I had 10% of the accuracy that Robby had on that shot.
  4. I just watched the show, tivo'd it earlier tonight. I'd say there was a lot of nerves out there, at least I hope that's what it was, but none of the teams rubbed me at all the wrong way, they all seem pretty enjoyable. If I had to pick one team to root for, it would be Casey and Rachel, just cos of the MSU connection. That's my favorite college.
  5. Congratulations Charlotte, you and Rob were great throughout. I'm glad to hear that Ash (not sure which one it is) is okay. Heat exhaustion and dehydration is a dangerous combo. Was there no bottles of water available? If TGC does this show again, I hope they re-evaluate some of their safety procedures, between Jay's fall and Ash's dehydration, there's been some dangerous situations. Overall, I enjoyed the show, and I look forward to another season of this if I they do so. Everybody on the show were pretty darn impressive, especially with the added time pressures.
  6. Sha na na na Sha na na na Hey Hey Hey Goodbye!
  7. Well, pretty much nobody liked Lori on the last BB and she got eliminated so maybe R&J; will face a similar fate.
  8. Well, I hope its R&J; going home tonight. I can't stand Raul at all.
  9. That guy showed pretty good restraint. I'd of probably dropped an F bomb after he said the Tiger Woods thing to me the second time.
  10. I found the show kind of interesting too, watching 'Amy', the 13 yr old Chinese girl, swing, and wowing Hank Haney like that was impressive. He made the comment that she was could play college golf, when she's basically just an 8th grader. Unbelievable. Whitney seems interesting, Laura seems really aloof though. That Doug kid seems to be a wuss though, it came off to me that he was looking for any excuse to quit that he could find when things started to go bad for him. As far as the episode lengths, I just looked up next week's episode on zap2it, and its also a 30 minute episode, so I'm guessing that they are all 30 minute episodes.
  11. As much as their golf game has hurt them on previous shows, the Ashes really stepped it up on today's show. They nailed those chips back to back and definately spent the shortest amount of time at the Faldo Institute. I remember seeing that highlight of them doing that on the preview. So do Rob & Charlotte get a strike next week or does someone go home?
  12. Yeah, I saw a video on Youtube explaining how Criss Angel does the walking on water trick. I'm looking forward to getting the 09 game, since I just finished 08 off. Its just hard finding it around here for the PS2, so I bought it off of amazon.
  13. Generally pay around $25 for 18 (including a cart) at the local courses here, if I decide to go to Bear Trace at Harrison Bay, that runs me about $45 or so.
  14. According to their bio on the Golf Channel, Peach is Jay's real father. This is from their bio on the Golf Channel's website: Peach and Jay Reynolds are as tight as a father and son can be. So tight that Jay ignores convention and regularly calls his father by his first name. “I’ve just always called him Peach,” said Jay. “It is a pretty cool name, and it fits his personality.” Golf is a long-standing interest in the Reynolds family. Peach’s father introduced him to golf at the age of 12, and he quickly fell in love with the game. A walk-on at the University of Texas golf team, Peach played alongside future major champions Tom Kite and Ben Crenshaw. After college, the self-proclaimed “quasi-hippie” began a career as a kaleidoscope maker, and is now recognized in the Kaleidoscope Hall of Fame in New York. Eventually, he cut his ponytail (still kept in a box) and changed his career to real estate. He passed his love for the game on to Jay, who managed to climb to number three in the national junior golf rankings. Following high school, Jay earned a golf scholarship to the University of New Mexico, and from 2001-05, competed on what he says was, “the most overly talented yet underachieving college golf team in the country.” After earning a degree in broadcast journalism, he turned professional, achieving a dream he had since 15. From 2005-07, Jay competed on the mini-tour circuit, and currently plays full-time on the Hooters Tour. Both agree that Peach can be controlling at times, and they have different ideas regarding ways for Jay to improve his golf game and his professional golf career. “Peach is more of a traditionalist, while I am a bit more forward of a thinker when it comes to the golf swing and my career,” explains Jay. On the golf course, however, Jay says that the roles are established. “He sometimes caddies for me at tournaments, but when he does, the father-son relationship is out the window. Peach knows who is boss.”
  15. Just as bad as the topper, in my opinion, is the pop-up, the one that goes 300 yards up in the air and maybe 100 yards straight, aka the pop-up behind second base. I hit one of those today on the 1st hole, although I was able to scramble a bogey out of it. And I had warmed up beforehand, so I had no excuse.
