  1. thanks, I've started prepping all my wedges .... One of my friends said I probably won't need my driver at pebble, he recommended just taking my 13* fairway and bringing a 64* in place of driver. Thoughts?
  2. Thanks guys, trying to decide what wedges to take, high mid or low bounce soles. how would you grade the turf conditions, hard, medium or soft?
  3. We'll probably play cypress or dark horse on the way home
  4. Going in to play in Feb. for a week, any tips on playing or clothing?
  5. Remove stripes and I might game it with the right shaft, nothing a little sandblasting won't fix :-)
  6. Just spend a few bucks and get fitted by your local 'fitter' , go through a mizuno shaft analyzer , it's usually fast and free and will get you in the ball park , then buy something that's close and looks good and fits your budget . Good luck
  7. Go Pack Go!!!
  8. no there isn't as long as they're 'fixed'...now your feeling me lol ...I'll provide the head and labor. The upper section needs to be graphite(I've got plenty of 'pulled' graphite shafts no charge lol) to make it 'playable', we need to use steel in the 'tip' for feel and balance, it will work as long as the balance point is around 34-33 inches from the sole. I smell a Guinness book of world record lol
  9. trying to multi quote but unsure if I did this right... so I'm pretty sure I can build a two piece locking 100" putter, with the current USGA split grip rules on putters(round) and the popularity of counter weighting I think we're on to something, the key is balancing it about 34" inches from the sole...definitely going to be a thru-bore for the beer bong attachment(which you get free if you call within the next ten minutes)...I think one of those little orange bicycle flags on top would be nice too...I can't wait to take a shot and a drop on the putting surface or anywhere for that matter lol...if anyone wants to chip in to make the club let me know and I'll make it happen and USGA legal! or at least until you play with liquid in the shaft lol
  10. Ironically there's no max length on putters....so there's hope!
  11. Has anyone ever use that putter that you could fill up the shaft through the butt cap?
  12. I just read the article and he said something about no one would wear a Rolex , Phil wears a Rolex when playing . I have a luminox(super light) and a gold omega(very heavy) and play with both . Both still work fine and I can honestly say I don't club any differently ... I just wouldn't play with any self winding/automatic style watch whether it's a Seiko or Rolex ... I don't think the garmin weighs much anyways.

  14. Everyone should be posting their index not their handicap number...my friends won't play me as a two because I tend to focus and execute better when we're playing for something ... If I practice and my bones(neck) feel good I'll shoot in the 60's more than the 70's and if I don't practice I'm probably closer to -2 ... This last year I had a lot more fun playing just to play and not keeping score or worrying about it. I really enjoy tinkering with and trying out new clubs so to try to maintain a legitimate index pointless and not accurate anyway...with that said I didn't represent myself as a -2 in any handicapped events or men's club events at my club this last year(or I would've got the sandbagger award from Pope of Slope) and had a ball playing for the love of playing not caring about scoring UNLESS it was a skins game that everyone was playing straight up
  15. Mile High stadium? I thinks so!
  16. hilarious!!!
  17. booya!! lol
  18. Who knew!!! Kaper's is STILL in the closet!
  19. I agree in the mornings I'm there to clean house but by the afternoon if it's hit hurry-up and wait I much prefer to wait with a cold one or if it's cold sip on a warm spiked coffee
  20. Go Pack Go!!!
  21. one of my buddies has been using the garmin watch for years and loves it(he just the lastest one too)...we compared distance with my laser and they're pretty close for the most...they give you front back and center, which is usually enough for weekend worriers, if I where to switch from a laser I would probably go with the watch because of the convenience
  22. some of the guys I play with are sooo old that if one of them has a stroke one the course the other guys count it! ...
  23. interesting tid bit there, lol I think the flask theory is much more romantic sounding too...
  24. I've got and old pair of bandons(the black ones) that I'll try it out on. for the most part those are waterproof all the way up to the collar. they've been to bandon a few time and performed fantastic. I have regular waterproof shoes but with the spring season and the mud coming i want to be able to just click my shoes and watch the mud disappear, keep the trunk cleaner hope
  25. I personally love one shot of baileys and one shot of Irish whiskey) this last year I started using the big Bubba mug 32oz and it fit perfectly in the cart cooler and stays warm for the whole nine. in the winter of course...a little black berry brandy once in a while is pretty tasty too...I once heard the reason we play 18 holes is because that"s how many holes the Scot's could play before they finished what they had in the flask...does anyone know if that's bull or is there some truth to it?
