It was great to see those two in the final pairing...they congratulated each other after good holes and gave each other high fives...the way golf is supposed to be. Although Freddie fell behind on Sunday I was rooting for him to pull it out, but im just happy to see that he is still that competitive :)

I know that a while ago before the new grip technology came out a glove was very useful because not only did it help protect your hands, but if they got a little sweaty it would help to grip the club. The grips that i have, when they get wet, actually help to keep my hands dry. The grips almost act like tape and help stick to my hands. Just my opinion though.

Does anyone think that lengthening the course at Augusta is helping to make it tougher? In my opinion I believe that lengthening the course only helps those longer hitters and it hurts everyone else. I believe that if you are going to make a course tougher put more trees in or make the fairways skinnier. I know that Tim Clark finished second and he only hits his driver about 280, but at this pace the longer hitters are almost being rewarded by the course changes. These are my thoughts, just wondering what you guys think.

Couldn't find the edit button, but before the end of April I am doing the following to my bag as well: 1) Changing my iron shafts (3-P) with True temper dynamic gold Stiff 2) Changing my 3Wood shaft to a prolaunch (same as driver) 3) Changing my 50 and 56 degree wedge shafts to spinner shafts 4) Putting the new G8 grips on all my clubs 5) Putting a new Ping putter in my bag and getting new shoes. I'm finalizing my bag and after i finish this im going to be entering in 15+ tournaments this summer alone, but in the mean time i am saving up my money to help send myself to Q-school. :)

Golf you got confused too...275-280 in the air with my swing speed...i think my driver is about 105-110...the 90 mph swing speed i was talking about was the original poster's swing speed.

i don't know the weight but it is not that significant. You are obviously going to swing faster with the graphite b/c it is a lighter shaft than steel and they are a lot more forgiving, but if i were you i would get another opinion from a golf pro at another course.

Right now i have a job at a golf course to half of every paycheck it going to q school and the free golf is helping. I am goign to be getting a golf coach to help with my swing b/c there are little tweaks that need to be fixed. But hopefully in 3 years ill be ready to go. :)

Muskegman i don't swing at 90...that is the original poster...i believe my iron swing is somewhere in the range of 110...and as for my driver, right now we are having 20 mphwinds and it has rained so much that i get no roll so that is why it only goes about 280. By the summer when it is firm and not as windy i can get usually 20+ yards of roll for the driver.

Yeah I hit my driver about 280, but my irons go a lot farther ( 7 iron usually goes about 180-190 and 3 iron about 250.) I am going to buy the true temper dynamic gold stiff shafts and put them in all my irons. But for a 90MPH swing speed, regular sounds just right.

I play the Pro v1's as well and they work well for me. My friend plays oneplatinums and they don't seem to go as far, but w/e feels right to you is most important

I just turned 20 and i'm starting to get very very serious about golf. I hope to go to q school here in the next 3 years. Work at a golf course so i get to be out in the sun all day. just a little bit more about me.

I was wondering if anyone knew if Grafalloy made a Prolaunch Blue shaft for the 3 wood. I have one in my Titleist K and I want to put the same shaft in my 3 wood. I realize i might have to shave the tip a little bit, BUT is it possible to put it in my 3 wood.
