  1. Damn,Ricky Fowler missed the cut with a 76 (yikes)...wanted to watch the new swing...not so much now.
  2. Sergio's weight rolls to the outside of the right foot almost to the side of the shoe and his right knee moves to the right as well. This is likely why he has such a funky swing. No one would teach this.
  3. Ok but I am clearly having trouble getting/understanding any feedback that specifies the instep of the back foot, maybe you can clear this up.....as I said before ,maybe this is not a concern .
  4. I don't know billchao, please direct me to where weight on the right foot instep is verbally mentioned.....it is possible that this particular weight distribution is not an issue for Erik and Dave.
  5. ok billchao...I checked and I don't hear anything about back foot instep pressure at the top of the swing.
  6. Well I'm not sure what happens after is irrelevant .It happens for a reason, that reason being what the swing is demanding of the body on the way to proper impact.
  7. Sorry Cipher, I don't really read it that way.If this was an explanation from an instructor to student, the students head would be spinning.Frankly even 2 swing thoughts is too much according to Nicklaus.
  8. Again ,if it works it's right, but you seem to have a lot of forward knee action down through the finish.
  9. Very interesting stuff, one thing that I don't see mentioned ,and I may have missed it,is where the weight/pressure is on the back foot when at the top of the swing. Is the weight on the inside or outside of the back foot.Getting the weight/pressure to the right side is one thing but I think it has to be centered on the inside/instep of the back foot.
  10. saevel125.....isn't there an awful lot of swing thoughts in that post (must be 10-15).I appreciate your golfing capabilities but that is overwhelming to read let alone negotiate I imagine.
  11. Saevel125...I'm not going to go on and on ,I have said what I wanted to this point.
  12. Right, it is strong and will compound the situation as I described it IMO....but not your's
  13. "Abu3baid's grip is on the strong side,"-saevel125,you wrote this.....IMO opinion this is very important depending on what you mean.
  14. I believe Hogan talks about the right knee and not letting it move laterally.
  15. saevel125....I have been informed by PM that this is a groupthink forum so your comment does not surprise me....very much appreciate it however
  16. What I am referring to is what seems to be his desire to keep the club face square all the way back to the top resulting in a closed face at that position. As a result he has to make an extra big shoulder turn to feel he is getting to the top then having to make an exaggerated leg drive at the bottom in order to allow the left wrist to flatten out preventing a hook.He is not allowing his arms to rotate on the takeaway making it a strenuous effort IMO.
  17. We agree the knee should not sway.
  18. saevel125......maybe a bit over the top with this comment....not really on topic.
  19. saevel125......I purposely said solid right knee and not flexed focusing on the need to keep the right knee from swaying ,this is what I meant.
  20. I think it points out a confusion of priorities.
  21. It's a British arrogance thing, referring to it as The Open Championship makes all other opens appear as also rans.
  22. Shooting what most golfers do when the get older-BS
