Titleistw1 thats the best advice. spend a few bucks on one or two lessons. they will assess and advise you better than anybody else could.

I agree with most of what is said here. Look on Ebay you'll surely pick up some good quality condition clubs if you just hunt around. In terms of brands i'd have to say Sonartec do lovely woods, tour edge fairway woods are also well credited and i guess Callaway would definately be right up there. I don't know how good you are , and how well you hit your clubs/yardages. Consider getting a 3 or 4 wood and then something like a 20* hybrid. that could replace your 5 wood and 3 iron if you hit good distances

I have been looking into buying a some new wedges and am confused what the bounce numbers mean. 4, 6, 8 degree are some of the numbers i have seen but i don't understand their relevance. i want wedges that stop and spin quick, not too much run. what numbers should i be looking for and which make are good value for money?

anybody with any opinions or advise? would appreciate it. really wanna try and tweak out some extra yardage.

I use Ben hogan BH-5's. I think these were made after they were taken over by callaway. I love these irons, they feel soft for a cast head. i get a lot of feedback on my shots and give me great confidence. If things are not going well i know it's me and not My Weapons!

i use 58 60 and sometimes a 64. 58 i use as my sand wedge and for medium to long bump and runs and also a chip/flop that i want to bite and spin. 60 i use from medium rough for flop shots and from light fluffy sand. 64 for short bump and runs and for really high flop shots

I love the FT-5 great club. If i could afford one new i would have it ina flash. However i don't like the FTI, i wouldn't personally reccomend it to anyone. Even the FT-3 i think, isalso a good driver. Why don't you look into the TM Burner and Superquad. I've hit the Superquad and think it's a good club, slightly on the heavy side.

The way i do it is this: Even before stepping up to address i think of a sweeping motion, i wanna pick the ball up offthe deck and send it on it's way. I take a few practice swings in the style of hitting a baseball, imagining the ball is at around my knee height. I keep my swing long and smooth. When i address the ball i take it about an inch back from the line of my left foot. I want to hit the ball at a level point/just on the up. The same thinking as when i strike my driver. Hope that helps.

I have a Tour Edge Exotics Driver in 9*. Installed is a Fujikura High Launch 55g Stiff Shaft. I was wondering if there is another shaft option that would give me just that extra few more yards.

I got two Tracy's they are awesome putters!!! Believe the hype, the c-grooves work. This putter gets the ball rolling forward fast and true. I got one cut down to 32" with a golf pride V-Rad multi colour grip. The other is standard with a red golf pride new decade grip. You intrested in getting a great condition used Tacy instead of paying £100?

Go for a Tour Edge Exotics!! This is the greatest Driver i have ever used.......PERIOD! It's ultra lightweight head produces greater clubhead speed with just the most amazing explosive sound at impact. You get yourself the right shaft option and you will pump drives down the middle all day long. I make a mockery of people with Ping's, Callaways, TaylorMade's just to mention a few. I'm no spokesoman for Tour Edge but this will out drive anything!!!

No way should you consider getting the 8.5*. Look at any other shaft options and also consider changing your ball but don't go down in driver loft.

Titleist or Mizuno. Theres not much between in terms of quality and performance. Go to a shop and try them out and get fitted . I personally would love to get a new set of Mizuno's. But now i'm getting off topic

MDGolf BlackHawk 3 wood. One of the most under rated clubs and manufacturers out. Great club off the tee or from the fairway. Iusually only tend to use it of the tee. Anything from the fairway i'll use irons or my maxfli 20* hybrid.
