  2. I just demo'd an EZ 6i, I played yesterday and every time I had to hit my 6i I would drop another ball and hit the EZ. TBH I wasn't that impressed, I didn't hit it any further than my 6i, so I don't think it would be worth laying out the $800 +/- for the set. My irons were custom fit to me about three years ago.
  3. I just learned today, one of the local Pro's told me that Phil's contract with Callaway says that he must have 11 Callaway clubs in the bag, the other three clubs are his choice.
  4. Interesting, I wouldn't of thought that his contract with Callaway would let him put a Taylormade club in the bag.
  5. Just watching Phil Mickelson playing in the CIMB Classic, I notice that he is not using his modified driver AKA the Frankenwood. I don't get it, why would you stop using a club that you could control, and helped you win both The Scottish Open and The British Open, and then take it out of your bag? Mike
  6. When I have a good round and I keep my focus, I can remember every shot, but it seems that when I lose that focus I cannot recall anything. For example, last week I booked my tee time for 9:03, when we arrived I went in to the pro shop and the girl behind the counter told me that we couldn't go out because the ladies league were going to make the turn, I said, why did you book me in then? After a lot of discussion, the manager said we could go out on the back nine and just fall in behind the ladies that were just going through as there was a gap opened between them and the group behind. I went five over through the first three holes, and finished that nine with a 44, we got to the front nine and all the ladies league had finished and cleared out. the guy on the cart with me said to just hit the reset button in my head and my focus will come back. I birdied the 1st, pared the 2nd, birdied the 3rd...... and shot even par 36 on the front for a gross 80. Now I can remember every shot and putt for that nine, but not a thing about the back nine.

    Nicest pros?

Phil, Bubba, Westwood, Donald, G Mac A+ Woods, Harrington, Mahan F.
  8. I had a similar pain last year, I went to see my Chiropractor, he adjusted my hips, rib cage etc and after a few days after the muscles had settled down I was fine, in fact my next round was one of my best, I shot a 78.
  9. Yep, been a member since I moved here to the US. in 2004. If you you think about it, you'll pay $25+ for a hat at one of the clubs anyway, plus you get a personalized bag tag etc, and you are supporting a great organization.
  10. I have had quite a few GPS's over the years, starting with the SkyCaddie SG1 then the GolfLogix hand held unit, I now have the Garmin S1 and I love it! I also use the GolfLogix App on my iPhone 5. If I'm playing a course I'm familiar with, I just use my watch, if I'm at a course where I do not know specific distances to hazards etc, I will pull out the iPhone and get the info I need. Best of both worlds I suppose.
  11. Basically, that's the same thing that happened to me. Our club members don't have to pay the dues (I think the club pays it for us), we just have to go into the clubhouse that has the computer in it, (we have five clubhouses) show them our new membership card for the year and they update the GHIN membership for us. I believe the guy in the clubhouse forgot to do it.
  12. I only noticed it appear this year, when I printed out my label last month, it showed it as 11.1M. I asked two of the guys in the pro shop and they didn't know either.
  13. Can any one please tell me what the M means next to the 11.1 in the top right corner. I know the 11.1 is the lowest in the last 12 months, but what does the M stand for?
  14. I have noticed that since Jan 2013 my HC Index show the letter M next to it, so now it reads 11.1M. Can anyone tell me what the M means please?
  15. Most of the single digit players I know, both this side of the Atlantic and in the UK use covers.
  16. ++1 I agree on every point.
  17. I live here: http://rotondagolf.com/ We have 99 holes of golf, as a member I can book tee times seven days in advance, I get free range balls, and I can walk the courses in the afternoons after 2pm for free if I wish. The cart fees vary from course to course and the time of year, but I never pay more that $17 for a cart in peek season (Jan, Feb, Mar). My cheapest cart fee is as low as $10. I get all these benefits for $2220.75 per year for single. We also have two sister courses is Orlando that are included if you want to have a drive up there (about 2 1/2hrs). All five of our courses are within our one neighborhood. And about a 5-10 minute drive. CHECK IT OUT !!
  18. I use iron covers, in fact, the only time my clubs don't have a cover on them, is if i'm playing a shot with it. I take the game very seriously, and play many club comps. I also use a cart, here in FL, and when I go to the UK to visit friends and family I use a pull cart. I physically cannot carry my bag more than about six holes, due to a kneck/vertibre injury. It doesn't make me a less of a golfer than someone that walks. IMO.
  19. You should come and play here in Florida, the courses are full of dinasours!!! lol

    Between shots

Not really sure, when i'm playing well, everything just flows.... When i'm not have such a good day all sorts of things go on in my head, I even find myself thinking about business or something over my putts. When I have a really good round I can recall every shot, almost like the pro's do. On a bad day I can't.
  21. I had the same confising dilema a coule of years back, I used to play anything, then one day I was playing in an inter-club match and the guy I way playing with asked why I didn't play Pro V's. I said I didn't know and never really thought about it. A few days later I grabbed some balls out of my shag bag and went out to practice chipping, after a while I started to notice how some balls stopped a bit quicker on the green, and some rolled out more. So now, if I'm playing on a course where the greens are a little slower than I'm used to I'll play a DT Solo or NXT, if the greens are a a bit quicker I'll play the Pro V1 so it stops a little quicker.
  22. I wasn't trying to brag about my income, I was just trying to make the point to Wallstreet that it is more about the principle than the money. Maybe I do need to get out more!
  23. I don't have to defend anything. I just don't like being called a liar.
  24. I figured it was worth the try, after all, it was only two bananas. I wasn't trying to hide them or anything, I just thought it's not as if it was a full lunch!
  25. Water in the vending machines in and around my home town in SW Florida is around $1.50-$1.75, hotdogs are around $1.50-$1.75 and burgers are around $2,50-$3.00. I am not used to seeing those cranked up prices, I suppose I should get out more. Lol. I have never been to an NFL, NBA or MLB event, I went to a NHL event in Canada many years ago..
