1. I worked on a steeper hip today. I think it got a bit better, but still a lot to do. Are there any other drills to stop moving the head down? Swing 4 iron: [https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BsYQ3Fjm3H8/VIDEO]
2. Here's the face on view:
3. I'll have to make a face on view video. And what do you think causes the shanks?
4. I've been Playing Golf for: 5 years My current handicap index or average score is: 13 My typical ball flight is: draw The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: shanks [rule]
5. So if I understand it right, the flexed right knee straightens a certain amount during the backswing, but doesn't straighten completely. Now, are the knees at address flexed loose, or with a certain amount of tension, that you feel throughout the backswing? My problem is at the moment that I completely straighten my right leg (and the whole body) throughout the backswing. On some days I hit really good shots, some days I start shanking the ball. A South African Pro told me last year my shanks were caused by straightening my right leg (too much), I remembered his advice today and flexed my knees with more tension in the backswing with the results of hitting decent shots again. Can somebody confirm or explain why a straightened right leg can cause shanks?
6. Never go there again.
7. YES!!!
8. YES!!! Germany in the semi-final!!!
9. Germany of course!!!
10. So if you strike the ball good, it's besides of esthetics nothing bad. And you are right, I tend to stand up out of my address position. Do you know a good drill to work on that?
11. Are there generally any disadvantages when crossing the line at the top of the backswing?
12. Has to watch his Golf balls :-O
13. The cupped left wrist in my opinion results out of a lack of forearm rotation. If you cock your wrists from the A1 setup position both hands are cupped. When you rotate your forearms to the right, the left wrist straightens. Try it yourself. There is no dorsal action in my wrists, from that camera angle it's difficult to see because the camera isn't aligned with the shaft in that position.
14. That's how it looks.
15. Why? Must soft spikes have a certain shape?
16. Well my problem at the moment is that my hands sometimes move away to far from the body in the downswing. I don't shank the ball, but it causes some kind of push. I thought maybe it is related to the line crossing. But on the other side crossing the line doesn't affect the position of my hands...
17. I'm crossing the line at A4 at the top of my backswing. My backswing isn't too flat, it just because I don't have enough forearm rotation. I asked my Pro today if I should work on that, getting the club more on plane. He asked me if it bothers me and told me it wouldn't matter. What are your thoughts on that? Where are the advantages / disadvantages?
18. Ok. I think Lothar Matthäus was one.
19. Believe me, if we would manufacture machines to play our team would play a lot better...
20. Finding the "Ü" on the keyboard: http://www.kruess.com/laboratory/blog/finding-the-ue-on-your-keyboard/ :-P
21. U and Ü are pronounced different.
22. I remember a lot of dutch players... I always admired your team for your offensive way to play. Like the last 30 min against Mexico.
23. It's not Muller - it's Müller.
24. What are your bad shots when you really get exhausted? I hit 180 balls yesterday and played 9 holes. This morning I was on the range again, but feeling still a bit exhausted from yesterday. I hit good shots and then suddenly I really started to hit terrible shots, a few shanks, thin and fat shots. The more I tried to force good balls the more worse they got. What are your experiences?
