  1. Hey all.. I really like these irons - the look awesome at address, the feel great, and i find them not too difficult to hit. I'm interested to see what the irons look like after some heavy use. Do the faces brown? Do you get the bag chatter than you see in mizuno, titleist, and similar forged clubs? (these clubs are cast, correct?) I'm not in real need of irons right now, it's just something i'm curious about. I feel like these irons could last a long time and may be my next purchase as far as irons go. Thanks
  2. Taylormade 2009 Burner 9.5 Titleist 909F2 13.5, 18.5 Ping S57 3 - PW Callaway X Forged 52, 58 Vintage Finish Odyssey Black Series i #9
  3. i think they are very underrated irons. even though i dont use them, i have hit my friends set a lot and they feel just as nice (or maybe better) than my titleists. he has j33cbs. they arent tough to hit and they are also workable. give them a shot, i dont think you will be disapointed
  4. there is a place to buy a single g5 pw...but like you said it is pricey ironfinders.com - i would give you a direct link to the g5 page but the site doesnt work that way. it's not hard to find anyway i would reccomend replacing the pw one way or another. going from a 45ish degree 9 iron to a 52 is just too big of a gap IMO. you could also buy a 48 degree vokey...they come in 48 in SM and 200 series
  5. sometimes when i search around on ebay for miura irons (not really for the intent of buying..just browsing) and taylormade rac cb irons come up. at first i thought someone was just tagging but it has happened too many times that i know it isnt tagging. can anyone clarify what the relationship to these irons and miura is? thanks --kevin
  6. if my brother did that to my driver, i would expect him to offer to replace it. i dont know whether or not i would have him though. if he didnt bring it up to me, i probably just wouldnt make a big deal out of it (as long as there is no real performance issue). just because thats the kind of person i am
  7. http://groovesharpener.com/ hey all...you guys have probably heard of/used the groove sharpener from that site. if you havent, i think it works well i was thinking about buying "the ruffer". just wondering if anyone has used it and what they thought about it.
  8. I think that i will just grip down because it sounds like i would rather not get into changing swingweights a lot thanks for the help
  9. as long as it doesnt sound like a cobra speed ld
  10. i thought i might change swingweights...i will be able to adjust to 1-2 points im going to call the local golf galaxy and see if they will be able to take care of it
  11. hey all i want to have my 905r regripped and i think i am going to cut it down. i am just wondering if there is anything i need to worry about. it is a 76g stiff flex v2 if that matters is there a length i shouldnt cut off? i want to about an inch and can i do it myself? or should i have golf galaxy do it if there is anything i am overlooking, please let me know
  12. you should definitely get one. ping makes awesome bags that looks great and perform well. they are light, durable, and well designed. plus, they look awesome when they are designed for teams. my friend has his signature in his and it looks sweet. i would highly recommend getting one i think its cool to use a bag from your alma mater, but i have a lot of school spirit so i might just be crazy
  13. i thought i read that they are made in japan somewhere on mizuno's website. but i'll take your word for it. you seem to be pretty knowledgable about this stuff
  14. mizuno's actually are forged in japan, along with srixon. bridgestone irons are forged in tawain.
  15. these winn grips http://www.golfsmith.com/products/57...ther_Grip-_Tan beware! they will wear very quickly. if you play 3 rounds and practice 2 or 3 times per week, your grips will only last one summer. they feel so soft though. i think they are wroth it despite the durablity
