Hi Tristan, The guests will be my son, Ryan and my nephew Jason. We play together every weekend, but we don't have official handicaps. We all generally shoot 100 or so for 18 holes - all pretty much beginners, but looking to improve and very much enjoying our weekly outings. We hope you guys can put up with that kind of play. If not, just let us know. I'm going to see them tonight - we also bowl together - just won our league two weeks ago :) I'll have them sign up this week.

Hi all, New member here. Glad to find out about your group (THANKS SHINDIG!) I regularly play with my son and nephew, nearly every weekend. I am going to suggest they join and maybe all 3 of us will join in the fun and frivolity at IH. Has there been a time set yet? How much will it cost? It sounds like a fun time from what Shindig says :)

I went to the Aimpoint class again and actually began to feel the slope. The instructor had a number of aids that he didn't have the first time around, so those were helpful as well. There were a couple of different wrinkles that were presented this time around. Again, I felt the class was very helpful and I'm so thankful that the instructor invited me back. Time to get that digital level out and get busy again! This sounds like a very interesting approach. I will try it out tomorrow. Thanks BallStriker!

Knock on wood my friend, knock on wood!

Good to know! My Aimpoint instructor said he has some new techniques for the "feel" part, so I'm looking forward to seeing what he adds to the equation.

Haha, we can dream! I'm past that 6th decade and not quite retired ..... yet.

I did buy a level and I think that with enough practice, I will get the hang of it. Wishing I was retired so I could commit the amount of time I want to this. How long did it take you guys?

I can't feel the difference between say a 2 and a 3 with my feet .... I still tend to read the slope with my eyes

Post Aimpoint Express 1 and 2 classes - Such a great help in lining up putts. As said earlier, it really helps! I don't quite get the "reading the slope with my feet" thing yet, but my Aimpont teacher _ Sean Lanyi at Black Gold in Orange County Ca offered a class audit, so I'm going back for a complimentary session Saturday. Looking forward to it!!

Walkers: Do you carry your bag or do you use a push cart?
The 8th green replied to ajst22's topic in Golf Talk
Years ago a guy who I got paired up with had a first generation electric push cart. His cart actually ran over a kid that was playing along with him. I just about died .... lol (Nobody was hurt) -
Las Vegas Golf Course Recommendation
The 8th green replied to baw1's topic in Golf Courses and Architecture
Thanks Lesterday, We've got cars so no need for cab rides or anything like that. Paiute looks like a good idea. Since one of my goals is to play TPC Sawgrass, I'd love to give that island green a shot on the Wolf course, but some of us may not survive the length of the course! lol One of the other tracks is a definite possibility!
